Replying To tommy k:  "The dubious prize of "most frustrating player on the team" is between Conor Cooney and Jason Flynn. Both have great skill, speed etc. but often send "easy" chances wide and then scoring a brilliant one. Both are subject to large lull periods in games when you often wonder are they even playing in the first place! Not good enough at this level where its all about consistency and reliability."
I couldn't agree with you more thinking back to 2017 and the game in saltill against the cats Cooney was enormous for 60 minutes and then burst into the game scoring 3 or 4 points in a very short spell of time to win the match

Replying To tommy k:  "I didn't say it can't happen OTM but it helps if you are taller than shorter. As the old saying goes "a good big un always beats a gud little un"."
Catching the ball is a technical skill, especially catching a contested ball, it's not something that is automatically bestowed on you because you are 9ft tall. It's as if you think that every player has the same ability to catch a ball so the taller ones naturally succeed in that scenario.

In reality if you had a height advantage at underage it can count against you as you probably never had to develop your catching technique, so when you hit adult level hurling and you don't have that height advantage anymore, you can be lost, regardless of how tall you might be.

Is Paul Killeen still playing hurling in Galway? Why has he not featured in recent seasons? He was touted as a great prospect at full back. Also what happened to Paraic Brehony, i recall he was a midfielder back in the Cunningham years. Finally how on earth is Alex Connaire not even the Galway panel? Or have I missed something

Killeen tore his cruciate around 17/18, that was basically the end for him

Brehony would be in his 30's now, he was end of the bench/panel under Donoghue

Connaire was in and around it during the walsh cup I believe

Sounds like you've missed a fair bit.

In your world he wouldn't have bothered even picking a basketball up."
I know you're the "expert" in everything stool like predicting Waterford would beat Cork last Sunday or in your own exact words "I fancy Waterford to win that one" so I will leave you to be the "expert" or should I say "legend in your own mind"! lol

Replying To CillTormoir:  "Not a rant, just observations from Sunday. I attended and watched it back online and there is certain stuff that doesn't come across on tv. Firstly, the lack of intensity/fight under our puc outs. Their half back line cleaned us for workrate, 50/50 balls and what made it worse was the fumbling of the balls when we tried to break out of a ruck. Our touch / stick work around the middle 3rd was so fidgety and poor. It's almost like the more the intensity was raised around their from KK we panicked. Delighted to get the draw, 5/6 points down and away from home we could have accepted our fate and took the defeat when going into the last few minutes. All being said, if we are to compete after the Leinster campaign THE PLAYERS have a lot to do!!!"
Agree with that and another point I would like to make is how they left Grealish on Cody for nearly all the game when he scored 6 points off him and got the MOTM. Its not like this was the first time either as Cody did the same thing when marking Grealish in Pearse Stadium last year when he scored 1-2 and also picked up the MOTM award from what I recall. Cody doesn't appear to score too much against other teams so surely HS and his backroom team should have spotted that and switched Brennan over to him or bring on Morrissey to replace Grealish. That is one area where management need to improve and fast before its too late!

Team named for tomorrow evening. Morrissey in for Grealish, Fintan starting wing back, Joe Cooney in at midfield, Conor Cooney not in the 26 and Liam Collins starting. Good to see Jamie Ryan on the bench.

You've no idea about that of course. I could be Paul Killeen, for all you know. assuming that you aren't Alex Connaire's Mum.

You've never had the stones to make a prediction of a result in your life, son, obviously it's impossible to be wrong if you never make a prediction in the first place eh?

I did fancy Waterford, so what? I wouldn't have come on here crowing if I had been right though, much less pointing fingers at people who made predictions that were inaccurate, especially if I waited until after the fact to do so.

Nobody loves a 'hindsight expert', tommy. Just in case you didn't know.

Anyway, just for your delectation, I think Cork will beat Tipperary this weekend. What do you think?

You can feel free to agree or disagree, but don't leave it till after the final whistle eh?

Stool, I just don't have any faith in this Cork team. Too many of that panel have been there since 2018, without achieving anything.

Well Tommy I have been saying it for ages that our Corner Backs are very suspect!! Sure even in the league games they were either giving away frees or being cleaned out from play and Grealish has been well beaten in most games!
Unfortunately we don't have enough competition for those positions....I would like to see F Burke there.

I don't rate Cork very highly, but I believe they are a better side than Tipperary currently. Certainly on paper, we will have to see how it turns out on grass of course

Galway up 3-9 to 5 points early. 3 goals for CONOR Whelan. I would take him out of the match now for a few reasons.
