Replying To foreveryoung:  "So, are you saying that it was some sort of a good loss for Galway? An AI final lost is one lost, irrespective of who the opposition is. I'd say after the hiding that Cork handed Offaly in '84 that they were damn glad to get back and win it in '85, no matter who their opponents were."
Not telling you a word of a lie Mister Young, they were subdued in victory, would have been the experienced favourite going in. So whatever lesson you're talking about, it wasn't the same lesson, to people with more specific recall than yourself anyway.

Antrim lost to Tipp in 1989. An all-ireland lost is an all-ireland lost as you say, if that's not stating the obvious, but it is stating the obvious of course.

Offaly hurlers won their first ever Leinster title in 1980. I have a very hard time imagining that a mere 5 years later, some of their supporters would be shrugging their shoulders at an all-Ireland final win because they didn't win the game by a big enough margin.

You are 'imagining', and I'm telling you facts. I'm not talking about 'some of their supporters' either'. I'm talking the team themselves, and their probably limited enough 'entourage', as it was at the time in the mid 80s. As Liam Sheedy humorously pointed out, the biggest difference between managing Tipp in 2010 , and managing them in 2019, was you needed two buses instead of one just to get 'everyone' transported.

Replying To Limerick2018:  "Shur we love upsetting you, Katser and Tommy K. As another Limerick poster suggested they think all are the same person. That's why ye agree with each others comments. Have a lovely weekend kid as I said already. I'm having a super one. Going to the pub now. Want to join me for some lively debate?"
You've let your mask down there now, goateen! You have admitted why you bragging bunch of Limerick latchicoes come in on the Galway thread! Fair play to you!
As for Katser, Tommy and Baire being the same poster, anyone with a bit of intelligence in reading the English language would realise that they are three very different individuals. To be fair to Katser he always calls out dirty play whether it's club or county, be it in Galway or outside and he's right about ye, that ye can't take any form of criticism. As for Tommy calling your team rugby players with sticks, sure he's only expressing what's being said all over the country. Tommy is straight talking, will tell it to ye straight and not gossip behind your backs like others.
It must be very boring on the Limerick thread, all that self-praise and admiration can be wearisome after a whileen!

You're worse to let it bother you.
So what if Limerick posters come on here to see what's going on regarding Galway.. HS has a very small amount of genuine hurling threads and yours is probably the best one at the moment.

In the last few weeks a couple of your posters denigrate Limerick on here and there's a kick back, that's what online forums are about. Discussion, slagging and inter County rivalry.

No Limerick poster defended Hayes, all agreed he should have been red carded. In a game where one or two Galway players could have walked also.

Criticism when deserved is fine, but when it comes from the likes of Katser who has a weird neediness to knock Limerick at every opportunity there's usually a reaction..
For me personally I find him entertaining, bit of a cartoon villain.
especially enjoy the fact that he picks an era like now, when the greatest Limerick team of all time happens to be knocking around..
Anyway, I'll leave it there.. Have a good Sunday. ..

I think the banter going back and forth is great. Good luck against Westmeath.

Good luck with all that happening! It's a tall order asking anyone to beat Cork AND Limerick right now. Play the lottery instead!

Not at the moment he isn't. But didn't he see read playing in (the true) maroon colors against Wexford last year in the Leinster championship? Suspensions do happen to players in all counties!

Right now its hard to look past Cork, Limerick, and Tipp/Waterford/ Kk for league semis.

I know teams dont think like this and you're judged on championship but for four of the Munster teams their most realistic chance of silverware is in the league so it would be refreshing if a team went all out from here on in to win the league. A final is a final once you get there. The reality of it is you might never win a Munster/All Ireland medal.
Its 2016 since Tipp won Munster, 2010 since Waterford and 1998 since Clare won it. Thats a lot of current players with no senior championship medal in their pocket (albeit the All Ireland for Tipp and Clare but I think my overall point still stands).
So why not go out and win the league?

I bet you Kyle Hayes couldn't do that, play hurling and read at the same time!
