Replying To Stmunnsriver:  "lot giving out about the late call off, but in fairness the rain that came in the half hour before did the danage"
You'll always have the Harry hindsight merchants but sounds like the pitch passed all early inspections and downpour at 1.35 did the damage, you'd feel particularly sorry for the Tipp supporters who travelled but if the ref thinks the pitch condition is a player welfare issue its a no brainer, there's probably comments on Twitter saying did they not see the forecast and to be fair there was heavy rain forecast for Wexford town around 1 and 2pm but if they called it off at 9 this morning and it didn't end up raining to the volume forecasted the same people would be giving out saying why was it called off.

I reckon Wexico is 100% here. Even allowing for a forecast of heavy rain between 1 and 2 p.m., you'd have been thinking the worst of it would be over by throw-in time, and that while not exactly ideal, things would still at least be playable.

But that was an absolutely torrential downpour around 1.35 p.m. that featured in all the videos going round, far beyond what you'd normally expect for "heavy" rain, and it was that downpour that really forced the cancellation. It was obviously unfortunate, particularly for anyone who'd travelled from Tipp, but calling it off any earlier wouldn't have been justified.

Spot on lads. Unfortunately here in the sunny South east when it rains it can really rain. Remember Xmas day?

Hopefully after the work is done on the pitch during the summer, situations like yesterday can be avoided.

did they call out starting team in the park yesterday? wonder what it was, i was sitting in car from about 1.35 waiting for the rain to stop, felt pity for one of the car park lads who was standing out in it, had the 2 teams been out on pitch doing their warm up?

Yeah there is a video on twitter of players doing a warm up. There's another video of someone kicking a 21 and the ball coming back to him on the 21

I arrived about 1.50 or 1.55 just before they announced it was called off, Wexford team were in the tunnel in there kits not training tops etc. so looked ready to go, didn't hear any announcement on the team.

They'd called out the team and said no changes from the programme. I won't post the whole team here but that'd mean it was the one announced on Wexford GAA Facebook & Twitter, so people can find it there if they want to.

I assume the refixture will be on 5/6 of March as its the only gap in the weekends, it will be after the trip to LN so we will know pretty well where we stand coming back from there.

Absolutely, fitting he was marking Brian Fenton for his last Wexford appearance, think Brosnan is the only player now left now from the Jason Ryan era, defiantly only starter anyway O'Grady, Conor Carty and Furlong might have been in panel around 2011/12 alright.

A warrior. Would walk into most Wexford teams from any era. His injury absences the last couple of years adversely affected Martin's too, given how many close semi-finals they lost. Can see him being a key cog for them for a few more years yet. Saw him outside Wexford Park after the Sligo game so knew he was unlikely to be back then.

I think you are correct about the last three players you mentioned. I am sure KOG was already in and around the senior set-up when Wexford won under-21 in 2011, and the two lads certainly were involved under Ryan the following year.

Good to grind out a win in adversity against a London team that were unbeaten up today. Was only following it on the score beo app, but it appeared Tubs played well again. Few relatively early changes made too, and if they weren't injury-related, it looks the management have finally grasped the nettle in terms of being proactive.

Hopefully we will kick on now and we shouldn't fear anyone else left to play, including the re-fixture vs Tipperary. Assuming Cavan continue on their trajectory, wins vs Tipp and Leitrim and we are suddenly in the shake-up after a disappointing start.

Well it looks like they heard me, 10 point for the rest of the game although looking at the half time stats we had far more chances than LN just didn't take them. Important win for the lads. Perhaps they can get the year back on track now.
