It's a miracle ye are able to compete at all. You'd have to admire the Kerry lads for being willing to work and go to college in the home of their local rivals thus saving the County board hundreds of thousand every year.

So you sweeping a quad injury under the carpet in the week leading up to the game.? Quad injuries occur when a body is over worked with fibres of the body being ripped or torn. That's simply down to overload of intense training Its criminal piking up injuries like these , in a week where energy and key personal should be wrapped in cotton wool. He's best ignored Bejasus. Just someone who's happy at other people's misfortune. A Junior level troll. Replying is just giving him or her more oxygen.

Another Mayo man or woman condoning threats of violence however idle. Unsurprising when you see what went on in Croke Park a few weeks ago.

Because believe it or not, Galway isn't the centre of the universe ;) And fellas aren't necessarily making their college choices based on whether they might get on the Mayo senior panel down the road. Unlike Galway or Cork, there isn't a university in Mayo, so people generally go away if they're going on to third level. And I believe I made the based in Dublin point in response to your silly jibes about expenditure. Well it turns out that mileage costs more if people are travelling the breadth of the country rather than just up the road. It is what it is. You give off a strong whiff of someone who hasn't spent much time outside of Galway, btw. Gleebo (Mayo) - Posts: 2208 - 12/08/2021 13:36:54 2370140 Link 3 |

Sure if Kerry don't beat Tyrone by 24 points plus, after 3/4s of the Tyrone squad having been on ventilators for the past two weeks, then Sam will be resting easy in the capital.

Is there a University in Kerry? You really are tying yourself in knots at this stage with your lack of consistency.

I have just the one account. I have nothing to hide. If there are other accounts making similarly valid points that's only to be expected.

If Tyrone make it clear that they cannot field a team v Kerry maybe the solution is for the losers of the Dublin v Mayo game to face Kerry instead or will the GAA only consider such a radical move if Dublin lose , which is extremely unlikely. Will that game even take place at this point?

As for why I'm on this thread I'm trying to advise Mayo fans as to how they can get more out of their players by pulling back on the hero worship and instead to hold them to account when they mess up so they are less likely to repeat the mess up. You know what the definition of madness is; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

'Hero worship'? are you referring to the lee Keagan debate earlier in the thread? believe me everyone in Mayo (who actually know the sport and aren't armchair fans twice a year) know Lee has declined from the player he was back 2012-2016 particularly. He had a run of injuries 2017-2021 that I think sapped him of his pace. Great player in his prime and still a top defender..... ...I don't quite understand what you are referring to presently outside of that conversation? can you elaborate further? This is basically an entirely new young team other than 7/8 from the 2012-2017 team that brought all the eventual winners to within a few points/replays. Yes we didn't blood much new young new talent during those years and that was particularly evident in the depth of our bench throughout and then in the 2017/18, 2018/19 seasons. 'You know what the definition of madness is; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result' so what does this mean exactly in the current situation? we are back in an All-Ireland semi-final as Connaught champions once again, against the almighty dubs who have yet to be beaten...where exactly in this context have we messed up so far? how then do you gauge success in your mind? nicko94 (Mayo) - Posts: 71 - 12/08/2021 15:39:37 2370204 Link 1 |
