Mods gotta be taking the wrap here, I mean what's gong on ?? Have we got somebody upstairs who is happy to let this nonsense roll on. This is an individual using multiple accounts with one or two others joining in , a small group that can easily be dismantled. I've done forum moderating before and its easy to distinguish who they are by simply observing language text or having IP access. Funnily enough IP addresses an be easily tracked and traced ,even by general posters if they are pushed over the edge... Happens on twitter every day.. Should be a really good game as always when these two meet.. very hard to call who will win this. This is definitely a 50/50 game dave1988 (Roscommon) - Posts: 1425 - 11/08/2021 17:19:44 2369912 Link 1 |

Like voters in the UK ... GAA people are very dependent on Media views to form their own opinion.. Bit short-sighted if im honest. I mean Dublin are clearly the favourites , and rightly so with Mayo relying on two kids upfront to cover the loss of their prolific marksman COC , and no team in this country has figured out a way to beat the Dubs in the final 10 minutes whether it was a tight games like 2016/2017, or a cruise control win last year by 5 points, or year before against kerry in replay. Dubs always find a way.. Horan for me will go down as one of the great managers, not many managers out there who can develop or build teams like him in GAA game , but Imo his tactical methods need to evolve more in order to take down the Blue Juggernaut and deliver the All Ireland. If Mayo go gun-ho again with Dublin and haven't built a lead by HT , then you may-as-well switch it off. This style of play relies on heavy scoring during that period of intensity as its impossible to keep it up for 70 minutes. Mayo need to score 2 , maybe 3 goals to stand a chance here, and they havent scored 2 goals v the Dubs in a very long time. They had nothing in the tank last year in the final 20 minutes. Dublin will just pick them off, build a 4-5 point lead , keep possession and run the clock down. BeJasus (UK) - Posts: 383 - 11/08/2021 17:56:53 2369922 Link 1 |

Well I might add to the controversy with this one (sorry in advance),, what with the tyrone /kerry game postponed, by possibly a fortnight,, would it be worth considering postponing this one too? For the record I hope it goes ahead, I'm bloody looking forward to it lol Galway9801 (Galway) - Posts: 1942 - 11/08/2021 19:05:42 2369945 Link 0 |

Hurlers wasn't until either the morning or afternoon of the Kilkenny match. Kenny had sent the team details in to Croke Park on Thursday evening. Had to change whole thing around Saturday. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 4550 - 11/08/2021 20:15:51 2369960 Link 0 |

There is no routine or random testing of County or indeed Club panels. With the current prevalence of asymptomatic positives in the under 30's you can be sure that virtually all panels would disclose some positives if they were tested.

Our clubs (and I assume the other counties clubs) wouldn't be happy if the all Ireland series was delayed by a few weeks. Lads have lives, weddings etc planned around our so called "set in stone" club championship fixtures.

Interesting you mention Patrick Horgan, like Keegan an above average player, but also like Keegan missing that ingredient that takes him and his team to the next level. Last Sunday when it was there for him to put kilkenny away in the last minute he bottled a 65. It reminded me of Keegan dropping one nicely into Cluxtons hands in an all ireland semi that would have put Mayo 5 up or his black card in the 2016 final. Bad shots and/or bad decisions under pressure. Keegans probably cost Mayo at least one all Ireland. He was even more idolised in Mayo after each one of those mistakes. Go figure!

Calm yourself. When the money runs out and Meath are back handing out routine hammerings to ye in a few years you'll be slagging them for losing in 2001.
