We were beat in Tralee in 08 remember. But the big concern here is not the loss but the incompetent manner of how it was lost. Our defence is nonexistent. The lack of organisation and leadership in the defence is startling. Fermanagh a couple of years ago had a defence much tighter than that. The fences are broken and the cows are breaking out : ) This is not just a bad result. This was a bad result which came from a fundamental lack of understanding in the defence, and it's a major problem which will not be remedied this year. Tyrone were very poor today but its better to find the faults now before championship begins. Kerry s defense looked brutal a few weeks ago a d they improving. Same with Galway. Opinions on what was right for Tyrone will come further down the line. However on the day Louth got promoted and Tyrone conceded 6 goals in senior inter county football it's fair to question was Harte given enough credit! He was criticised for not selecting forwards or being too negative. After watching this evening the facts may well be Harte knew the limitations of Tyrone football so put together a system to hide their weaknesses and have them somewhat competitive, yes some players were left out but his system was more important. He didn't beat many top teams in championship football over the past few years but maybe even he couldn't manage that with what was available. It's possible many in Tyrone will want Harte back in a year or two. We were told the change was happening to have Tyrone back competing at the top table, that doesn't look likely after this evening. Better for the weaknesses to be found now rather than the championship. One little thing could change things alot. I genuinely think Tyrone can win Ulster. There was no intensity today either. P. S. I know some will say better now or this, but honestly that was horrendous performance, and it's very hard to see how Tyrone can recover in next few weeks. It will be very very hard to come back from such a horrific performance. Kerry are good make no mistake about it. I agree.....we stayed up by the skin off our teeth but we did stay up. Today was a wake up call. Our defence was all over the place. No one seemed to know the game plan. No one was covering, people marking space and not men. Badly miss Colly Cavanagh. Midfield is very weak. Mattie Donnelly/Burns isn't a midfield who will get you to an all Ireland. They are half forwards. Brady hit a few terrible wife's from bad positions. Hamsey kicked 4 balls in to McKenna that were poor, floated balls that favour defenders. McKenna hasn't played well this season. Donaghy found out a bit over the last 3 games....taken off at half time in 3 games isn't good. I recall a few months ago reading he was sorry he retired and he would go back if Logan asked him. He is what Tyrone need at the moment.If McShane comes back also things will change. Whilst Tyrone were bad today, it's gotta be said Kerry look very very good. A lot of big strong athletes who are also very skillful. David Clifford obviously but also O'Shea, Spillane, Geaney, Paudie Clifford, Walsh, and also with David Moran to come back. Kerry looked good but then Tyrone were poor enough and were never really at the races. Morgan is a middling goalkeeper that's all.
