As I previously stated on Dubs forum I was hoping Dessie would get it.

Congratulations to him

Fully deserved after winning AI titles with a large majority of this group at underage on multiple occassions

There will be nothing but respect for him and the players themselves will help manage this process

Jim left them empowered leaders on the pitch with high game intelligence

The best there has ever been.

Dessie like Jim will feel privileged managing such men

Has he really won AI titles on "multiple occasions"? I think he definitely left a minor title behind him the year that Tipp beat them with a late goal. That's definitely one that shouldn't have been let slip, given the quality of players he had on his team.

I dont think you could fully blame him on that one - from memory was it not a goalkeeping howler which gifted a late goal for Tipp.

Farrell seems similiar to Gavin doesn't get too animated and keeps his cool.

Did the great Micko leave a 5 in a row behind him with a late goal also ? Did Cody leave a 5 in a row behind him , don't really get your point with Farrell ? You can't win them all .

Not the only big news coming out of the county board meeting lads.

The accounts are good, very good! ;)

Excellent. How many junior clubs in Dublin on the brink of extinction will benefit as a result??

There was also a massive suggestion that some of the members of Jims backroom team will be staying on in terms of continuity and transition. ;)

Also seems looks like us pulling out of the O Byrne cup was not true, preparing for a semi in January by all accounts.

Is it true Dessie had Na Fianna players out training on Stephens day and New Year's Day last year? According to Pillar Caffrey....

Not something to brag about in my opinion.

Still waiting for details of the "multiple" All-Ireland wins managed by Dessie Farrell.

Met Éireann breaking news...,

That dark cloud is tonight fast approaching a place called Kerry...!
Folk down there are been advised to stay indoors and out of the public eye for at least another 2 years, until it passes. ;o)

Elsewhere, in the Dublin area the outlook remains very bright with prolonged periods of sunshine and the feel good factor.

What do you expect! 90% of the stuff on here and in the media about Dublin is untrue.
