This was originally a Munster Hurling Championship thread, yet somehow it's descended into a Wexford and Limerick slagging match ????

you eventually got the message larry, but i was trying to be subtle about it...... johnny was blunt and straight to the point but he got through to you. look at what kilkenny have won through the years and could you imagine brian cody coming out and saying the league means f all.

You'd be surprised how regularly that happens..
Just be glad no one's started on about 1996 yet.

Don't mind the lad from tipp just an irrelevant throll

As for the limerick chap, can't handle the nerve of someone to challenge his opinion and the fact someone else think differently to him. Also after limerick's sole all ireland for a generation is talking about his county like they've a decade of senior success behind them

What is your point though? I said I think Limerick will fade as the year goes on because they'll be worn out, nothing about Wexford mentioned at all!

Any rumours as regards team selection from any of the teams so far?
From a tipp perspective I'd hope to see A half back line of the 3 mahers with breen and Browne at midfield with Noel McGrath at 11 and McCormack back also with forde at 14 and on free taking duty.
Big calls to be made for the corner back spots and also if Bonner and callanan play. If jake Morris starts then two or all of bubbles, John McGrath and Niall omeara will lose out. Plenty of competition for the full forward line.

I expect a big cship from Stephen Bennett. Extremely talented and his injury issues seems to be behind him. I expect Waterford to come out of Munster this year.
Is Shanahan and Curran on the panel?

Waterford/Clare. I'm going with Clare. I was very disappointed with Waterford in the league final. I know Walsh Park might have a big say in things but I think Clare should be further ahead.

Cork/Tipp - Cork. Cork's speed and Tipps league foes should be enough to see Cork through. Cork were shadow boxing in the same league fixture.

Tipp/Waterford - Tipp. Mainly because of home venue. Again I think it will go down to the wire. Will put Waterford on a serious back foot.

Limerick/Cork - Limerick. Although I feel this game will be a humdinger at a full Gaelic Grounds. If Cork beat Tipp they will have their tails up. If Tipp win in P Ui C then it will be a must win game for Cork. Even though I think Limerick will win I'm nervous about this one. All the pressure will be on Limerick. Will be interesting to see how Tony Og Regan prepares them mentally for this one.

Waterford/Limerick - Waterford. I just think Limerick will have too much in the tank as in Croker a few weeks ago.

Clare/Tipp - Clare. What a battle this will be in the Park. Will of course depend on the state of affairs at the time, but getting a win in Cusack Park is next to impossible at the moment. The Banner have made it their fortress.

Cork/Waterford - Cork. After two weeks off and the Home advantage I cant see any other result.

Limerick/Clare - reluctantly Limerick. Clare won't mind coming to Limerick. The bite in the league clash in Cusack Park will be back. Limerick will have to learn to deal with Clare's pulling and dragging tactics and not get drawn into it. Another referee could easily have sent off a few of our lads for retaliation that day. Being the only team to beat Limerick in last years Championship and this years league meeting, Clare will fancy their chances. However, I'm hoping JK & Co will have learned a lot from last years defeat and this will bring the green and white across the line.

Clare/Cork - Cork. The fortress will come down. This will be Clare's third game in as many weeks. It's unfair to ask amateurs to do this. However, Clare's panel isn't anywhere near strong enough to withstand it.

Tipp/Limerick - Tipp or maybe a draw. will depend on Tipps previous form. Limericks third in a row away from home will be too much of an ask. Hopefully we will have already qualified.

So tipp and Waterford to go out again....wouldn't rule it out but I'd say it'll be unlikely it will be a repeat of last year. From a tipp perspective I'd go for two from four with wins away to clare and home to Waterford.
Limerick are favs for the all ireland but as we have seen in recent years, the all Ireland winners have started the season strongly and been relatively flat in the cship. I gather that's harsh on Galway last year but I don't think they were at their best at the same time despite coming so close.
Outside of limerick, all of the other 4 teams will be under pressure for one reason or another to have big seasons

I would have nearly the same view as that. Bar Clare beating Waterford, couldn't see any team beating Waterford in there 1st game in Walsh park but i think we will beat Cork in Ennis. Really looking 4ward to the game in Limerick, ill be throwing money on red cards and a draw. Happy its not the last game like last year, took a bit of bite out of the game.

59 minutes gone in P Ui C. Tipp on fire but Cork all over the place. If Cork come back from this I'll be amazed. Horgan just denied a blatant free in!!!

To be fair I can't believe this clown is allowed to ref. Seriously, we may be proud of being Amatuer but refs like this are ridiculous. Ruined it as a spectacle
