Poacher named new Leitrim manager

Steven Poacher has been announced as Leitrim’s new senior football manager for the 2025 season.
The Down native’s appointment is subject to ratification at the next county board meeting, as he looks set to replace Cavan’s Mickey Graham weeks after the latter weeks after abruptly ended his tenure having replaced Andy Moran in the Leitrim hotseat in August.
Poacher has previously been with the Carlow and Roscommon backroom teams, but this is set to mark the first time he’s been at the helm of an inter-county team.
He will be joined in his backroom team in Leitrim by ex-Carlow footballer Daniel St Ledger, former Fermanagh star Ryan Jones and Ulster SFC-winning Donegal coach Anthony McGrath.
