Replying To 222:  "Why not play wexfrod and clare in portloaise and get a crowd in for 7.00 on the Saturday. Surely the other game can merge up with a Football QF which will be on that week. The GAA is slowly killing our sports from what it once was with ridiculous throw in times and souless venues."
Probably a few reasons but the glaring one is Wexford v Clare is not a fixture. Wexford need to win tomorrow

Replying To hunting:  "Jack injury mustn't be to bad, because apart from Ryan there was only suppose to be some niggles. D O Keefe probably won't feature at all this year now, even if we win on Saturday, I taught he might have been OK to be on the bench and get some minutes in the legs this week. Cian Molly is a strange one, no word on injury either. Mickey has been very poor and it no surprise he not in the squad. Ryan, D O Keefe, Molloy and Jack, 4 possible starters missing and at very least the squad would be a lot stronger with them available."
Dissapointing no Dee on bench especially since he played for the Anne's Tuesday. What's wrong with Jacko. We need these lads back if we are to progress further

Quiet build up alright but if we win well tomorrow I think there's going to be a huge build up to the Clare game and a big crowd in Thurles. I expect us to win by 10+ tomorrow and honestly won't be impressed at all unless we do.

If it is to be laois v clare merge it up with a Football QF, GAA need to think more openly about this

Unless Keith adds Dwyer, O'Keefe or maybe Jack O to the squad on the day but probably won't by the looks of it. We need the likes.of Dwyer to push on and I agree I just don't think he has which is a shame.

I think we are lighter up front than at backs in terms of.cover. Also some most.of fhe promising young lads seems to be defenders. No free scoring forwards on the immediate horizon.

Cian Byrne has been a serious addition, it would be great if CBD could add the same energy and scoring ability. I have only seen him in Club and u20 and a.bit of league.

Do people.feel he is fhe real deal?

Wasn't talking to anyone from the club about the other night, but I don't think it's out of the question that Rossiter may have asked Redmond to give him game time?

Win well? Wouldn't a one-point win suffice? Wexford would do well to remember the Leinster semi-final of 1985, before treating Laois lightly this weekend. I can well remember a good Wexford friend of mine crying into his pint that time, lamenting, "Tony Doran should have never retired." And the man after having played his heart out for the county from 1967 to 1984! Can't please some people!

Tread warily, lads!

That could well be the case but playing Blackwater in duv 2 semi final in the league is country mile awy from inter County hurling .
Game time is one thing how did he hurl is another , after nearly out nter county would his touch be right his ability to read a game and the pace and intensity to boot . From what I heard quiet first half better in 2nd got crucial goal but imo the game has come to early.
Not taking anything from Dee he s been a warrior and owes nothing to wexford hurling matter of fact he s been one of our most consistent performers for over 10 years
Surely on here ye are picking on past form not present and wishing rather than knowing .
Happier to see Corey back he was cmvery good during league and has more tobodmffer at prsent . Love to see hi come on with 20 left . I would mt like to be marking him .

I'm surprised by the silence from the camp, I hope there hasn't been a big falling out or something

What are you waffling on about. Am I not allowed be confident now? I want them to win well and I think they will, simple really.

I see wexford are 1/20 to win and Laois are 9/1.
A draw is given at 20/1. So we are huge favourites.
I'm a little nervy about this game, knowing our past history. We must go into portlaoise totally focused and hopefully lay down a marker early on. If Laois are still in the game with 10 minutes to go anything can happen.
The team selected looks strong on paper but our two big men Jippo and Jacko are major losses.
Surely with front men such as Mac Chin Rory and Cian Byrne we should be well capable of running up a winning score.
I'm confident but not overconfident for tomorrow.
We must be tight at the back and not give away soft goals. Hopefully we have learned from our games against lower ranked teams, Carlow aside.
The required ingredients are, playing with intensity, taking most of the scoring chances that we get and everyone giving it everything for 70 plus minutes.
Verdict--- Wexford to win by 7 points.

If Laois start as named, then they'll be starting two lads who didn't play one minute in the Joe McDonagh as far as I can see, didn't even get on in the Final. They've also had two of their subs from last week leave the panel plus one of their starting wing-backs from last week isn't in the squad either

They had Corby and Purcell starting in midfield for most of the year by the looks of it, don't know why they moved Purcell to the half-forward line in the second half last week (They've named him at #11 tomorrow), Corby and Purcell have been their two of their three main dangermen from play all season alongside Aaron Dunphy

I think if we go out and hurl with intensity right from the get-go, we should be fine as it'll be very hard for them to bounce back from what you thought would've been their biggest match of the season last week; nip 'em in the bud early on or else we leave the back door open for them, they could really grow in confidence if we mess around like we did against Westmeath in '22 and '23 and then Antrim this year. Let's hope we go out with the exact same attitude and application as in the Carlow game

Silence surely means they are all happy enough with nothing to complain about?

Carlow game should be the threshold for this if we're being honest

Or they are on lockdown but if there was a row surely someone would be speaking.
