Replying To catch22:  "With regards to the championship this year if it does happen I think it is all but guaranteed to be Kerry's. The Dubs having made history and the change of management would surely mean that Kerry would lift Sam in 2020.
They came within a whisker of doing an Offaly and stopping the 5 in a row so they'd surely be favourites if the championship got the go ahead."
Who knows really, if it's a knockout competition at neutral venues then I give us a chance.

This break will give our young team the time they need to bulk up.

Ah, I'd say it's a bit more than a chance now in all fairness. Everest climbed and with the new man in charge it'll take a bit of rebooting for sure. Ye have all the aces now.

The chances of any football is getting slimmer day by day. Talk of social distancing staying in place until a vaccine pretty much nails team sports for the year not just GAA.

I suppose, there's always hope though. You don't know what you have till it's gone.

Don't forget Galway, Tyrone, Donegal, etc. they'll have something to say about aces and chances if the season were to be saved somehow.

Yah, but I'd have Kerry well ahead of those to be honest. Maybe in knock out on an off day but it's a ling shot really.

I would definitely include Galway & Donegal. Not too sure about Tyrone though. Losing McShane with that ankle injury was a massive blow.

Fair enough. Kerry have earned respect. Galway are making strides under Padraig Joyce but probably aren't good enough yet.

True. Huge loss to Tyrone.

I think he'd be back later in the year if the championship goes ahead around August, if I remember right micky Hart said he'd be out for 5 months which would mean he'd be good to go by July.

There's an All Ireland in Galway alright and Joyce might just be the lad to get them pulling in the right direction. You never know.
I think Kerry will be the big threat to that though.

Let's hope so. I hate seeing injuries to any player especially class players like him.

? Donegal could and arguably should have beaten Kerry in the Super 8s last summer.

Both sides felt they left that one after them. Nothing between the two teams that day really and both had long injury lists going in to the game. I'd expect Donegal to have a big say the next time there is a championship.

I really liked the look of Galway in the league too I think Joyce was a great appointment and they have some very good players.

Tbh I think Kerry, Donegal, Tyrone, Mayo and Galway can all beat each other on a given day. Dublin stand alone above them until they are beaten in the Championship.

Yeah I wouldn't fall asleep on Dublin just yet. Still loaded with talent to spare.
