7,207 was the attendance at Clare U21 game other night
There's 18,964 in Nowlan Park tonight.
What was the crowd in the Hyde today?

According to the commentator on Shannonside the attendance was 7,000 but I don't know how accurate that is. From seeing it on TV that seemed accurate enough.

62k in croker is OK. But it's going to get worse unless the Dublin support greatly grows. Big Meath crowd turned up and that will not happen again. I personally won't attend another Meath Dublin Leinster final next year and if it's Dublin v Kildare/Laois etc them the crowd could be under 40k.

Before anyone questions my support I'll attend all O'Byrne cup/ home & away league and AI qualifer matches just not the Leinster championship. It's the most pointless competition in Irish sport.

Are you seriously saying there were less than 10k meath fans there yesterday? If so that's one of your worst ever comments.

There was a big Meath support. And you will not get half of them going to the next Meath/Dublin game so I'm saying the Dublin support will need to grow to make up for that.

Even if there was 10k meath fans that's about 1 in 15 from meath going. Did 1 in 15 Dubs go? And remember a lot of Meath's population are actually Dubs. Either way Meath had a lot more than 10k but if they did you couldn't even say Dublin were better supported.

man i didnt say meath had less than 10 thousand
i said dublin had about 50 thousand
that would mean meath had around 12 thousand
which would be in line with what you would expect
get over it pal

I understand that a lot of us are deflated after Sunday but i cannot get over how negitive you are been. We are still in the Championship. We are where we expected to be after the Leinster final(Ok we had a terrible day) but we are still in the Championship. Armagh is where we need to look now and we can assess where we are once we are no longer in the Championship. I just hope that you are in no way Close to anyone in the Meath Squad or Management because you would drag down the most positive person in the world with the way you are going on. Just concentrate on Armagh and talk about how we can make amends for Sunday rather than everything that is wrong with our county. We changed tactics and the way we play on Sunday and it didn't work. I do reckon if we had of played our own game on Sunday we would have been a lot closer to the Dubs than we were. Meath didn't show up and we got punished. Let it go into the History books and move on

I'm very close to 3 players in the squad 2 of them young lads and I'd not say a word to them about the match. If they read this forum than that's their problem because they really shouldn't be reading up about themselves especially after a hammering. I'm giving my honest views and most of them were there before the final. I'd already said the provincials had become stale before the result. I said what's the point of a championship where only meath could beat the dubs every few years and now it's even worse. meath have no hope of beating the dubs and that won't change for a very long time.

3 of 4 provincials this year wre useless. The one good one being ulster but it's hard to wath given the defensive nature.

On topic. Hill you said over 50k were dubs. That leaves under 12k. Between kildare and neutrals that would leave around 10k. Meath get half that number for league matches. I know for a fact there were more than that. Maybe you can't tell from the hill or you're just biased.

i dont think meatha re only team who came close to us
wexford pushed us to the wire 3 times in last 5 years
we beat kildare with the last kick of the match in 2011
laois ran us to 2 points in the all ireland quarter final in 2012
your being way over the top
and i stated about 50 thousand supporters
i didnt say over anything
and it was clear that that was about right as ticket sales would suggest

8-10 k expected in O'Connor Park. Next weeks football doubleheader in Croke there anticipating 25k. Should have had it at Kingspan Park?

No way will they just get 25k in croker next week. Mayo would nearly bring half of that. Surely the other 4 counties could bring 25k between them??

I'd say he's referring to the Sat fixtures rather than the first quarter-finals.

What the expected attendance for the Hurling quarter finals? Considering There was 33,283 in Thurles last year, I'm guessing there should be 40k as the counties participating this year are generally better supported then last year.
