They should cut the allocation of tickets to RTE presenters (and their cronies, hangers-on & well-wishers).

100% hill16man and you know what this problem exists in other sports too whether it be world/European rugby/soccer finals and many other events like the FA cup final.

They spread those extra 55k tickets all over the place and the reality is half of them end up back in the counties involved. SO it's pointless giving the counties such small allocations. They should be getting 25k each minimum. Personally I have never had problems getting final tickets and indeed I've been to many not involving my county so it's not a selfish complaint.

Just to update this thread.

Mayo v Kerry replay attendance was 36k in Limerick.
81.5k at Donegal v Dublin
82k at Kilkenny v Tipp
15k at the under 21 hurling final
15k at the comogie finals

Free seats and plenty of spare terrace tickets at the mayo/kerry replay. GAA were right to host it there and in future all semi final/quarter final replays that make sense should be played out of croker. SO if Dublin have a drawn semi or quarter that doesn't mean bringing them out of croker. Likewise for teams that croker is the geographical neutral venue. And if a fixture like Kerry v Limerick or Monaghan v Tyrone happens don't play it in croker. Clones/semple are big enough to hold them and the new casement certainly will.

Won't happen Jack. There's too much sponsorship money put into Croke Park, they're not going to outsource All Ireland QFs or SFs unless it's practically unavoidable as in the case of Kerry-Mayo with the American football game. Remember a couple of years ago they had the lunacy of a Cork-Kerry semi-final in Croke Park?
