Former TD and Minister for State Tom Parlon will be the next Offaly GAA chairman.
The 71-year-old Coolderry clubman, who also served as director-general of the CIF (Construction Industry Federation) for 14 years, will succeed Michael Duignan after he was the only nomination received for the top job before Tuesday's deadline.
Duignan and treasurer Dervill Dolan are stepping down under the five-year rule, while Colm Cummins, who has been secretary for the past four years, is also bowing out. Doon's Frank Fitzpatrick has been nominated to replace Dolan, while current Leinster GAA PRO Brendan Minnock is set to assume the role of secretary.
RTÉ hurling pundit Duignan will remain on the Management Committee as Central Council delegate, a position he was elected to last year.
Meanwhile, Bobby Goff and John Kenny are set to do battle for the Wexford chair after both were nominated to succeed Michael Martin.
