Air horns were the order of the day at Pairc Tailteann for the SHC final.

And just like that the hurling championship come to a close with the Intermediate and Senior finals today in front of large crowds and perfect conditions at Pairc Tailteann.

The first of the final weekends came to a close yesterday at Pairc Tailteann with that brilliant Senior Hurling Championship final, Ratoath claiming their first Jubilee Cup since 1963. O’Mahony’s are back in the senior grade with five points to spare over Drumree. Back to back Ladies SFC crowns for Dunshaughlin Royal Gaels. Silverware Dee Rangers and Boardsmill. B titles for Longwood and Kilskyre/Moylagh. A first minor A championship title for Kildalkey in over 70 years. Bragging rights for Carnaross.

Sunday 13th October 

Ratoath claimed their first Jubilee Cup title in 61 years after a pulsating Meath Senior Hurling Championship final. Navan O’Mahonys made up for last years loss and bring home the Mick Leonard Cup.

Friday October 11th

Dee Rangers were crowned Meath LGFA Intermediate Football  Championship winners in front of a packed Cortown tonight. The winners dominated the first half and led 1-8 to 1-0, Grace Durnin with their goal. With 15 minutes remaining that lead was out to nine but Dee Rangers failed to score for the last quarter while Simonstown hit 1-4, their goal from Emma Brogan coming deep in injury time.
