Hurling championship results, reports round up

Kilmessan have a SHC semi and two Junior finals to look forward too in a couple of weeks time.

After the weekend’s action we are down to the last four in the Senior and Intermediate hurling championship. High flying Kilmessan will take on last years beaten finalists Ratoath while holders Kildalkey have set up a mouthwatering tie with neighbours Trim. Expect that one to be a lot closer than their round 1 meeting in mid July.

Navan O’Mahonys got revenge for last years county final defeat to Kildalkey and will take on Rathmolyon for a place in the final. Donaghmore Ashbourne needed extra time to see off Boardsmill. They take on Drumree in the semi final. The two sides met in round 5 with Drumree recording a double scores victory.

It has been some turn around in the fortunes of Kilmessan HC. Last year they found it difficult to field a second team, this year not alone are they in the senior semi but also find themselves in the Junior and Junior B deciders.
