he mentions a meeting with billy connolly in it, its actually a brilliant book too sport only makes up a part of it his life story is well worth the read.
I posted on the drinking ban culture thread a link to an article in sundays paper
you should take a read its pretty informative about a certain oohh ahhh paul mcgrath vs tyrones cathal mccaronn
on how different the public treats pretty much the same problem of addiction."

I don't think there's alcohol sold like that at soccer matches? I don't wonder why...

hillman- was right at an exit on the steps that they kept coming down so was no choice but move a bit each time or have the drink spilled on me when they tried brushing past me.

us auld thomond park seadogs are experienced enough to know to why i always avoid standing by the the exits.more people likely to drink there its closer to bars,

maybe this, along with some others, is the reason Limerick GAA have not won any Senior hurling titles since 1973. Or any Munster football titles either. Funny for such a "sports mad" place.

One thing the GAA can take pride in is their stadia. They are so good at building them that the Rugby lads need them for the Rugby World cup. So well done to the good GAA folk of Castlebar, Galway city and Belfast and Cork. Has a GAA match ever been played in a Rugby or Soccer pitch? I think not. So let us give credit to the Cumann Luas Cleas Gael for this.

One rule I would make is if Ireland play any rugby match on GAA grounds in future the National Anthem from the 2 countries involved be played, that pub song Ireland's wake up call or Ireland's booty call, whatever it's called, should not be played, it's a disgrace to our country, a pub song

Has a GAA match ever been played in a Rugby or Soccer pitch? I think not.

i think yes -numerous gaa games have taken place in wembley , google it,
cuala gaa have used blackrock college rfcs pitch, clontarf gaa use clontarf rfcs pitch
London Irish have given london gaa use of grounds during ruislip redevelopment

keep them facts coming!!!

lansdowne road has hosted soccer since 70s , thomond park has held soccer matches since the 60s, musgrave park had uefa cup in 1991 (dave barry being the cork city scorer), soccer has allowed rugyb in its grounds lots and lots of times

you could say rugby has led the way in sharing facilities with other sports ...sorry other codes!!

So let us give credit to the Cumann Luas Cleas Gael for this.
Whats the cumann luas cleas gael - a new train service out west is it

but yes gaa grounds are brillians esp at club level , got great club grounds in limerick all with covered terracinge.g. bruff cappamore caherconlish kilmallock ncw rathkeale kilteely
