Sure maybe it is score difference first ziggy, if that's the case that would suit us more yes?

Not as exciting a day in store if it's decided on points difference, Cavan would need to win by 6 in Navan which is a long shot!

yeah would like this cleared up,if it is just score diff, then a Meath win would likely see us promoted..

Points differnece is first if points difference level goes head to head if that is a draw it goes to points scored

I bet my Hoganstand account that it's head to head in a 2-way tie. And if it's 3 teams, or the 2 teams concerned drew with each other, it's scoring difference

If two teams are involved its head to head as to where they finish in the table , sure werent Armagh relegated last year instead of Galway because of their head to head meeting. If 3 teams have same points its score differece.

Can anyone get a definitive answer from the gaa??.
If its points first a win, which will be no easy achievement against Cavan, then Meath are promoted. There's no way Roscommon will beat Westmeath by 14+ in Mullingar.

So potentially Meath could have the best scoring difference and miss out on promotion..

Ok so that's that cleared up.
Yep we will easily have the better scoring difference but will probably not make it due to head to head. :(.

Yeah that's possible, the GAA has some so much unnecessary and silly tinkering with the leagues over the years no one is ever sure of the system from one year to the next, still if we don't get promoted it will be no ones fault but ours we had our chances against Laois & Roscommon and in truth should have buried both of them, but at least were battling at the right end of the table. This division has been full of twists and turns and you can expect a few next Sunday too....

Fair to say that Galway would've been promoted if they'd had their Corofin lads?

These rules have been around a while and make sense. Team that won on the head to head should go through. Stops one team hammering a weakened team in the league and this gets them through.

bad performance from the ros today by all accounts, so are we definite its head to head? if so presuming diown win, if ros beat Westmeath and meath beat cavan were up? if cavan beat meath though it will be scoring difference as we drew with cavan, hopefully we can win with a bit to spare! unlikely as Westmeath will be fighting tooth and nail to stay up
