Kerry Dublin - Who are the neutrals shouting for?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Kerry for me. They were unpopular for a while but I think they were unjustly treated in 2011 final.

I would like to see Kerry win, putting up with whinging dubs for a few weeks, is by far preferable to listening to gloating dubs for a whole year.

I'd prefer Kerry too, tbh. This young Dublin side have formidable pace and power, and they have already beaten us twice by comfortable margins during the league campaign. Conversely, Kerry are an ageing side, and I would fancy us to outlast them in a 70 minute battle. Plus, with Kerry there is the obvious motivation to atone for the finals in '04 and '06.

Eh what?

Kerry 2011
7 mins to go
4 points up
Fluff a 'hot-ball' throw up from a reverse decision Dublin free.
Concede 1-03 to lose by a point

......if thats called 'unjustly treated' then you have not got a clue about football lad!

As a neutral, I'll be hoping for a Dublin win. They play a much better brand of football with less cynicism. A Dublin Mayo final would be a great occasion

I think he is referring to the soft free and twenty steps Mcmenamins barging goal.

Yew tree your right there's not a peep out of the Kerry lads but I've never remember a Dublin team so quiet all year either.

clondalkindub - That's true. Could be a great game. From our point of view we hope the winners emerge as favourites for the All Ireland, which they probably will ;)

I want Dublin to win because then they will be the county that finally ended the famine and lost to Mayo the Dubs would be raging that they would be the county that lost to the 'bottler's on All Ireland day p.s I dont think Mayo are bottlers at all but it would be funny.

Dublin would make the Final exciting, exciting attacking football. Kerry are like a sick hybrid between Donegal and Carlow. Mayo would destroy Kerry by half time to reverse what happened to them a few years back.

if people are talking mental battles for Mayo in the final surely they would be easier to motivate if it was Kerry. The team that inflicted so much hurt. Whereas Dublin will be out for revenge and extremely up for beating Mayo. Hungrier.

With yourself bryanadams it is just one long endless whinge. Some day you will have reason to gloat ..... actually you most likely won't :-)

Also slayer, kerry deemed him surplus to requirments this year, Id imagine his own personal motivation would be massive. It would make an interesting side-story.

I think it was more that Jack didn't want him. Players definitely did as reports suggested after. He's a mighty man.

I think Tyrone are the only county to have beaten Dublin this year, so I would like to see the Dubs win.

Superglue, well obviously the management decided it, I never said otherwise. How would the players decide it? Unless you are from cork of course!
