100% he has the physcial size already to compete . Id have him in the squad and let him learn from Chinner , Mac and ROC. It was only 2013 when Conor Mac made his debut against Clare I think he was still only 16 maybe 17

We definitely need someone ready to call on when Fanning retires

I would take Viking as fannings replacement.

Replying To Viking66:  "AJ Redmond would come back if asked. Joe Barrett has declined 2 years in a row. Aaron Duggan won't come back. Darragh Carley badly needs an injection of confidence from somewhere. Was invisible last weekend. Think Eoin Whelan will be back training soon, next week or 2 maybe. Jones is an excellent prospect. Too soon for Ciaran Doyle imo. Amazed you have Paudie Foley on the list at this stage tbh. And Barry O'Connor. Rory Higgins won't come back, he wouldn't be able for the training etc with injury sadly. Charlie Roark maybe for fullback longterm, but not sure. Defo not as a halfback at Senior level. Don't think Connall would come back. Oisin Foley might. Would be very surprised if Rory wasn't around come championship.

Don't think Sean Nolan would switch, don't even think it's fair on our Footballers to suggest it but if you were going to be looking at current Senior footballers I think Mark Rossiter and Paudie Hughes are better hurlers. If anything there are lads on the Hurling panel who would be more of an addition to the Footballers.

You have left off Charlie Mcguckin altogether. You have left off Darragh Kehoe, Seamus and Paudie Casey, and Darren Codd. Cathal Doyle well worth another look if you are talking about bringing in lads to have a look at, scored another 4 from play when getting nearly no ball at the weekend. Darragh Farrell. Jake Molloy. Cathal Parker. O Meara and O'Hagan. Maybe Niall Furlong, still young though, and Cormac Walsh also from the Alley. Justin and Andy Moran. Brian Quigley and Sean O Connor. Tadg Drohan and Cian Byrne (gk). Colum Fitzgerald. Aodhan Whitty and Jason Byrne. Brian Roban. Not saying any of those would definitely make it, but all would be worth a look, and some of the younger lads could be given work ons."
I've left off McGuckian, the two Caseys, Darren Codd, and Mikie Dwyer, they've had a good few opportunities at inter-county level and I think I'd like to see others given a chance

Should've included Darragh Kehoe alright, mentioned at the very start that I'd ask some even though they'd almost certainly reject (Paudie Foley, Joe Barrett, Barry O'Connor)

He's 1997 so is 28 at some point this year

Replying To Afinestick96:  "Sean Nolan is an interesting one anytime ive seen him I too have thought he would be an asset to the hurlers.

I unfortuantely cant see the likes of 2 Foleys and Barry O Connor committing. We really need new players to step up next year and bring their games to the next level.

Impossible to predict now but here is a guess of what the matchday 26 could look like
Fanning ( I think he is still the best Goalkeeper in the county)
Eoin Ryan
Liam Ryan ( He seemed to be playing well for Rapps please god he can finally get an injury free run going)
Aj Redmond ( If he commits he is good enough to be a big addition)
Conor Foley
Cian Molloy
Damien Reck ( Play him wing back where he started his inter county career. he is not a 6)
Conor Hearne
Eamon Wickham ( Has really Impressed me the last few years)
Jack Redmond ( Has a serious scoring record for Rathnure needs to show next year he can make step up)
ROC ( Hoping he stays if not cant blame the lad)
Chin
Corey Byrne Dunbar ( Looks to have bulked up, Id playing him as a roaming forward I think he has big potential)
Mac ( Looks back to his best I think he is still best full forward in Wexford)
Simon Roche ( Toss up between him and Cian Byrne but I think Simon has huge potential)

One thing about this team is we shouldnt be lacking for score4

Subs
Andy Kennedy
Niall Murphy
Mike Kelly
Shane Reck
Seán Rowley
Darragh Carley
Kevin Foley
Richie Lawlor
Jack O'Connor
Cian Byrne
Seán Nolan ( If he commits really think he can be an asset)"
Actually like the look of that starting team

Darren Codd only got a handful of minutes this year, and it was his first year in. Paudie Casey wouldn't have had much of a go at it either. Mikie Dwyer is going for his knee op in October. Hopefully it will fix it, been troubling him for years now. Agree Charlie Mcguckin might be a better intercounty Footballer.
What do you think about the rest of the lads? Worth another look?

The Senior games has moved on an awful lot in those intervening 12 years!

I'd have Lawlor in ahead of Wickham, also I think Cian Byrne would be in ahead of CBD.

Agree in saying there's very little chance of either of the Foleys committing and same with Barry O'Connor and don't know about Barrett.

I hope Rossiter casts a wide net anyway.

I agree Lawlor is a good player but hasnt fully lived up to his undoubted potential as of yet. It would be great to see him push on next year but I would like to see how Wickham would fare at that level too.
I think CBD is the ideal man to have in the Kevin Foley roll i.e link man ( roaming forward)
If Mac starts its a toss up between Simon Roche and Cian Byrne for the other corner forward position .

Seemingly David codd was nailed on to start midfield this year only he picked up the injury in Portugal.

CBD plays at #11 or midfield or else he doesn't start for me, I don't like shoe-horning him inside at corner-forward

Think Cian Byrne can only really player in the corner, could play Simon in either of the corners or at 11, could possibly play them at full-forward too although that wouldn't be my first choice

I know some outside the county like to go on about how we need to get younger but we've been getting the younger the last two years and we'll probably keep doing so for the next two years

Conor Foley, Richie Lawlor, Cian Molloy, Eoin Ryan, Cian Byrne, and Darragh Carley have all started multiple Championship games, CBD has started one, Simon Roche has made a few appearances off the bench, not hard to imagine David Codd, Simon Roche, and say AJ Redmond getting multiple starts in Championship next year

Lawlor has been given a lot of opportunities in different positions but has yet to impress at championship level.
