It's a fair question. You'd need a degree to work out theses competitions and how they're graded

Should do ok. Big jump from u16A to minor though. We pushed Waterford very close in the u16A Michael Foley Cup Final last year. 13 of those Waterford lads started and won the AIMF this year, while we lost to yourselves twice, Kilkenny, and Limerick this year at minor.

Replying To countyman2022:  "what 'A' competitons did we come close to winning? one other Q, most counties played mixed squads or divisional squads where we went A & B, is it a worry we still couldnt win anything when playing against these set ups?"
All counties played mixed ability or divisional teams at u14 except Kilkenny.
All counties played A and B teams at u15 and u16 except Clare, and possibly Limerick.

No only divisional at u14. Cork played A, B and C at u15, As and Bs in Arrabawn and Cs in one of the lesser competitions, and A and B at u16.
At u15 we beat their B team by 23 points in the Arrabawn Shield SF and beat their A team by 2 points in the Final.
At u16 we beat their 1st team by 2 points in the 3rd/4th playoff to finish 3rd in the country.
At u14s we played Cork earlier in the year and won 3 of the 4 games. We beat the East Cork Division team who won the Tony Forristal Cup also.

5 Rounds completed - Anyone after showing up that should be in Rossiter's 2026 squad?

Not many that haven't already been involved in some capacity before I'd say.

I think David Clarke of barntown should be involved again. He was with Egan.

Obviously Barrett from Martin's.

Still think Conal Clancy has some of what we need.

Not seeing a lot of physical forward options.

Two Harriers lads that have really caught my eye are Conall Clancy and Josh Sheil. Think both may have been on extended panels but I think they have a lot to offer Wexford. Barry O Connor has been good for the Martins but I presume he is going back to Oz? Oisin Pepper looks like hes starting to deliver on the promise he showed a couple of years ago. Eamon Wickham from Rathnure has impressed again he has to be in contention next year. In intermediate Cathal Parker from Horeswood impressed me the couple of times I seen them play and Cormac Walsh from the Alley

Agree with you Davy Clarke is definitely worth another chance. Also agree we lack physical forwards in the county . Barry O Connor probably is one but he is likely going back to Oz I would say

Cathal Parker was in with the panel this year. Agree Wickham should've been in this year also. Other Rathnure lads worth a call are AJ Redmond and Charlie Mooney.

David Clarke is another of the good u21 team of 2018.
Barrett been asked twice and said no. Shame.
Clancy was in the last few years.
Shiel was in with Egan also.
Problem we have as regards physical forward options is none of the lads who aren't in already are scoring much for their clubs.
We need more scoring forwards in a bad way, whatever their size. Agree it would help if they were big and fast also, but small and fast would be great either. Just lads who can get you 3 or 4 points from play consistently.

Agree with you on Charlie Mooney and it would be great to see Aj commit

Simon Roche hopefully will kick on next year.. JJ Twamley from Gorey, Luke Kavanagh looked good too.
Couple of the Rathnure forwards looked decent aswell. Barry O Connor would be a good addition but is heading back to the sun. Kyle Kennedy could be with a shot too.

Yeah, not too many names above who haven't been in the county training squad already.

Still, that's not to say one or two of them don't deserve another chance. Being in with Egan in 2022 or '23 but not making the cut doesn't mean they should automatically be ruled out for Rossiter in '26.

Simons not the tallest but is a good hurler for sure. The O'Connors are doing well for Rathnure, Mick Redmond also but he's 30, Lawlor and Higgins don't want to play intercounty.
Kyle Kennedy is a good club player, not sure how he'd go at intercounty. The 2 Morans are good young players at Annes too.

Absolutely. Players get bigger and stronger and better with good coaching. Some might want it more after getting in and being dropped also. Work harder and play harder.

Sean O Connor deserves a chance - He did hurl Minor / U21 with Wexford.
Charlie Mooney / Eamonn Wickham should be first on Rossitors list for calls - I think both of those would thrive in a Wexford setup.

What are peoples thought on Bernard Dunne - I wouldn't be a fan. Not sure what he can bring to the table. Yes he is high performance sport but ….
