Would be some kick below if we are are playing Christy ring hurling next year. As previously mentioned I was unsure where we would pick up points this year BaileCrann (Down) - Posts: 77 - 28/04/2025 14:19:46 2605027 Link 0 |
I think Kerry will beat one of Down or Westmeath to stay up. Down have conceded 12 goals in two matches. Westmeath seem to be in disarray. Past hurler (None) - Posts: 954 - 01/05/2025 01:14:51 2605898 Link 0 |

Westmeath are right in it for a place in the final. Big game v Carlow next weekend in Mullingar. Must win for both.

Great win for Kildare and fully deserved by all accounts has blown the competition wide open. ITSCHOLAR (Carlow) - Posts: 314 - 10/05/2025 19:40:25 2608147 Link 1 |
Today really was a disastrous result for Carlow. Kildare now have us on the head to head so assuming Kildare beat Down then Carlow will need to beat both Westmeath and Leix to make the final. Onion Breath (Carlow) - Posts: 1594 - 10/05/2025 21:38:12 2608207 Link 0 |
6 pts win against a team like Carlow is a sign of where Kildare are at. We set out ro claim a final spot from the off, we are still a work in progress. Refer to page 1. Cuhullain (Kildare) - Posts: 302 - 11/05/2025 10:49:39 2608368 Link 4 |
Big win for Laois today over Kerry; they looked fit and had it sewn up at half time, leading 5-12 to 0-9. James Duggan getting 5-2 in the opening half, and barely touched the ball in the second half! burdizzo (Laois) - Posts: 10 - 11/05/2025 18:10:37 2608485 Link 0 |
No surprise with the result today. Kildare the surprise of the weekend, possibly creating a battle for the final. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8902 - 11/05/2025 20:10:30 2608555 Link 0 |
Westmeath, Kerry and Down all on 1 win going into the final round. Not looking good for Kerry. Down away to Kildare in the final round. From a Kerry point of view I want Kildare to be playing for something - probably a final place so that they beat Down. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8902 - 17/05/2025 18:52:29 2610294 Link 0 |
Is it head to head or scoring difference that decides it when two teams are level on points? Hoping it's the latter!

Head to head

Pity. We have to beat Leix next week so. We have a way better scoring difference than Kildare but they'll have us on the head to head.

Fair play to Kildare. They have beaten the 2 favourites and look to have one foot in the final. Blackbog (Carlow) - Posts: 764 - 18/05/2025 16:49:42 2610633 Link 1 |
Sure is a big game! Thought it was going to be a procession for Laois and Carlow to make the final. Kildare have had other ideas. All games have something on the line. 3 way battle for the final and 3 way battle to secure McDonagh status.

Super stuff from Kildare. Watched a bit on Clubber, Laois missed a lot of chances in the first half but Kildare were full value for the win in the end. hurlingguru (Carlow) - Posts: 1847 - 18/05/2025 18:35:46 2610701 Link 0 |
Kildare are surely as good as in the final now and fair play to them. They obviously brought the same intensity to their play today as they did last week in Carlow. To be honest I doubted they could do that two weeks in a row. Credit to Brian Dowling. Onion Breath (Carlow) - Posts: 1594 - 18/05/2025 18:42:57 2610705 Link 0 |
