Jeopardy on the line in pretty much all of the round 3 games.

The sky will be the limit for Mayo in this championship should they pull off the win in this game. Lose or draw v Dublin and it's hard to see them improvement on their last two championships which was quarter final exit and non competitive 70 minute performances in those matches.

No knockout means no jeopardy… simple. Imagine you could be still in the Championship after going 4 games in a row without a win…? The All Ireland has become a meaningless joke when that sort of scenario exists…!!!!

The Super 8s was fiercely competitive in comparison. Six counties currently have 0 points but can still qualify! The Munster Hurling is setting the gold standard for a competitive round robin.
Cork despite their two wins to date night finished 3rd in Group 3. Any win by Tyrone and a big win for Donegal over Clare might see Cork drop to third, similar to what happened to Mayo last year.

'The Munster Hurling is setting the gold standard for a competitive round robin.'

Nonsense. Why do (Munster) people keep perpetuating this myth, when the facts show otherwise. Since the round robin format was introduced to championship hurling, the Leinster Championship has been more competitive than the Munster.

Where would Tipperary and Waterford have finished in the Leinster championship? The Munster hurling championship is vibrant. Big crowds. Lovely hurling!

Donegal v Clare, Castlebar, 3pm
Tyrone v Cork, Tullamore, 3pm
Group 3 gets things underway today. If Tyrone beat Cork, Donegal will probably win the group, Tyrone 2nd and Cork 3rd.

What a game Mayo & Dublin absolutely thrilling. Hard and fair
I must give praise to the referee I think the performance of the year from him. Yes there was 1 or 2 called each way but he stayed out of it for the most part. Again a great game of football. These are the games that football needs. Well done Mayo and Dublin.

An exciting final round for the second year in a row. Taking two rounds to get to this stage has been the problem. The suggested double elimination will mean one round for everyone and then the same scenario as today.
Armagh and Donegal are the big winners from the weekend. The only solace for Galway after being sent to the preliminaries by Armagh again is that they avoid Derry and Mayo finished second, so they don't have to worry about them either.
Galway v Roscommon, Cork or Monaghan
Mayo v Derry, Cork or Monaghan
Tyrone v Derry, Roscommon or Monaghan
Louth v Derry, Roscommon or Cork

People love to mock mayo (currently in transition and down from counties who have never seen a final) but we along with kerry are the only counties to challenge this Greta Dublin team. And that's a fact.

Mayo and Dublin have given us some great games in recent times. Hopefully we'll have one more game between us this year.

Fairg enough but Mayo's last point, as Tomas o'sé showed on Sunday game, no contact no free and reapers 45, great kick but wrong call, it wasn't a 45
