Realdub you've obviously never gone to the Hyde from the Mayo side. You need your sandwiches & good walking shoes

Dublin fans will be home sooner than some west and north mayo fans. It's ok though…I know geography isn't yer strong point outside of the M50 ;)

Replying To GreenandRed:  "I think they have to be at the same time if the result of either game impacts the finishing position of the other two teams playing. Some games won't affect other teams league position in the same group.Only thinking that now, no real clue."
100% correct GreenandRed: Mayo/Dublin and Armagh/Galway are guaranteed top two places so they meet to decide group winner. Cavan/Roscommon and Derry/Westmeath competing for 3rd place. Other two groups not as clear cut so both matches at the same time. Could be an interesting week end.

160.3km from Belmullet to Roscommon on some bad roads

155.2km from Dublin to Roscommon. (123.3km on motorways M4 & M6)

Roscommon is the ideal location for the game.

Pearse Stadium , Longford would be about mid way but limited to 10,000 capacity. Attractive fixture will attract over twice that.

No worries, we have 11 days to get to Longford . Will be a 50:50 basement battle

Yes I see that now… they seemed to put up the Sunday fixtures first for some unknown reason… Roscommon will go into this as clear favourites and a draw will do to put them through…..

Really unfair on Dublin, Mayo will be familiar with The Hyde after playing a number of big games in The Hyde over the years. No doubt they will get the home dressing rooms, know where the local Supermacs are and the milk in the shops will be Connacht Gold.

All eyes on where the ref is from, if they've visited Westport in the past 7 years, have any political leanings toward Joe Biden or have the Saw Doctors on Spotify should be immediate disqualification for reffing this game.

We will persevere.

In Croker, cluxton has his ball boys trained to give him fast ball for kick outs.
In the Hyde, the Young Rossie ball boys have been trained to hate Mayo since birth.

Ye can have the home dressing rooms in the Hyde too, they don't do Roscommon much favours

Look on the bright side…the whole of county Roscommon will be cheering ye on. They will likely have Dublin flags up too like they had for us coming home losing finals against ye.

It has increased since new seating went in, Below from recent article in local paper.

"Major redevelopment work has taken place at the ground, with new seating installed in front of the main stand, increasing the capacity of the stadium to 23,900."

I think all the ball boys/girls need to be carefully screened if coming from the disputed territories of Ballaghaderreen.

Huge opportunity for Mayo, bring those Dubs down from the Pale and representing the whole of Connacht on home Turf.

To my fellow Dubs hose big green things are called Fields and are very common the far side of Lucan, approach any animals in said fields with caution. The places were no one else is around is called, wide open space - do not be alarmed.
