Replying To WEXILE:  "They've confirmed it for Thurles tho on Sunday. The game is up for changing the fixture. Maybe they could at least give us a late throw in like 7 o clock so.some people could go to it..sickened over it"
Hardly fair though that people will be helping out, organising, reffing, playing etc all day Saturday at the feile and then have to drive all the way to Thurles that evening.

When was the ( provisoonal) fixture list issued? Surely someone should have foreseen what was happening because the Feile date was fixed several months ago.

Move the Feile to next week and let GAA receive the complaints and fallout

This is very unfortunate but needs to stop here now and not let ot take off and have a big circus with it seeping into players and everyone. Its dissapointing that alot of volunteers wont be able attend but hopefully they can get access to a radio and listen to south east. It is what it is now and crying over this for the week is no good for anyone
Clares heads are down and i dont know if people will give wexford the credit thats deserved.. it should be a cracker and there will be plenty of wexford support. On a side note i was talking to a kk guy and we got talking hurling and he said there's a few wexford coaches in kk. Dave guiney blacks whites. Tullogher but he didnt know his name, someone else he said but i forget
Is there many kk lads in wexford. Larkin was with rathnure but gone in as selector with village. Charlie carter was with st martins a few years ago. Kevin fennelly was with someone i think.
Im just wondering how do we find the kk coaches?

Replying To hunting:  "Absolute disagree and I heard from a reliable source the very same Clare voted against it. I hope to god we stuff them satutday and I sick of he sight of Lohan and that Clare team at this stage(mainly because they have beaten us so much in the last few years:))"
Spot on, sick of the sight of Clare, no one gives us a chance, GAA doing us no favours, really hope Wexford put up a massive performance and knock them out.

There's a lad from Barntown over Tullogher. A lad from Taghmon and a lad from Bunclody were involved in the Boro winning Kilkennys 1st AIS Club Camogie title in 15 odd years.

CB tried that. Got outvoted.

I won't make it either. Sickened. I bet whatever counties voted against us will have kids being put up in Wexford for the Feile. Shame on em. It is what it is now, at least we will sleep able see them in the semi in Croke Park in a few weeks

Rather than have counties at each other throats over this it's worth remembering that this is another fallout of the condensed championship season. There's no room to breathe. Everything is stuffed into a few weeks. Jarlath Burns on the radio this morning talked about changes next year. I hope they come about. Hosting Feile is a fantastic occasion and credit to you all as you will have kids that will renew the weekend long after the games are played next weekend.

Feile is sadly all on one day these days

There are too many intercounty games in both codes. They could look at scrapping League semi finals, and preliminary quarter finals. Counties can win All Irelands in both codes these days after losing 3 games, that's surely not right.

It the equivalent of picking the joe Mc Donagh semi finals over the all ireland football quarter finals, could u image the uproar if that happened. Anyway we can't dwell on it anymore.

Replying To eoinog:  "And if Leinster had won their rugby yesterday the issue would never have arose, as Croke Park was booked for rugby next Saturday."
You've totally misunderstood my point. Nothing to do with playing at croke park. All to do with volunteers and youngsters not being able to attend an all Ireland quarter final next Saturday. Shameful decision

We can shout and scream all we like lads but it's a done deal now. Unfortunate for us and really common sense should have prevailed.
If it's an afternoon throw in people involved in fella will not be able to get to Thurles or watch it on television. Only way would be to view the game on the RTE player while at the event. Not ideal but better than nothing.
The vote last night if anyone is interested was
For change to Sunday-- 57.4%
Against change-- 42.6%
As the rule states that it has to be 60% needed minimum. we lost out by-- 2.6%. So near but yet so far away.
Best case scenario would be for a 7.oo pm
Start and so allowing those at fella to get to Thurles or watch at home. However we are talking about the GAA here, well known to shoot themselves in the foot, So I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Nothing to do with double headers or football either. We just wanted a change of day. We'd play anywhere at anytime single match or otherwise.
