They're not Friendlies. Its a well contested League.

I sincerely hope a certain couple of Tyrone posters on here aren't representative of Tyrone GAA people in general.

I've always admired what Tyrone have achieved in the past 20 years or so, and in particular, I consider Mickey Harte one of the most inspirational figures not just in the GAA, but in Ireland as a whole.

However, if Tyrone GAA people in general are as narrow-minded and self-absorbed as these couple of posters here, then going forward, I may be changing my opinion of Tyrone.

Why do people say "straight knock out"?
No need for the word "straight", it's either knock out or it's not!

I'm talking about the club leagues in Wexford, the 2 teams that made the senior league hurling final didn't make the championship QF to put it in context.

Wasn't talking on behalf of the country or anything of the sort.

Why the need for 5 group games? 3 more than enough. QF, Semi, Final. mid week game here and there. Be over quicker.

We will all cry with you changing your opinion. It could be a mortal loss to Tyrone GAA

Seems your only "solutions" are to force a true dual county such as ourselves - where over 90% of players play both hurling and football - to cut the number of championship games it provides for its players. All for the benefit of counties where most clubs neglect hurling, so that provincial club football championships can start a bit sooner.

This is exactly what I meant by narrow-minded and self-absorbed.

You make it sound like the club championship is a chore that needs to be gotten out of the way as quickly as possible.

Backdoor competitions are kind of knockout too though.

Talking of antics, Big Joe had plenty of antics also playing to a fine line.

It is so long ago since Ballygunner played they have bed sores. Only two of their players played football. Dessie and Coughlan. The inter county club championship should be played early the following year to put everyone on an even footing. Complete shut down Nov. Dec. Jan.
