I was a fan of Dowling as a player but the only thing worse than his live analysis or appearances on the Sunday game is the columns he writes for RTE. Himself, Cummins and Derek McGrath are hard listen to. Not much issue with the rest now that Shefflin is gone.

I like Cummins to be fair. I'd like to see Ken McGrath back at some stage.

I was sorry to see Clare beat but shutting up Daly if that is possible makes it nearly worth it. I think he would be very suited for telling seanachi stories on radio because b.s. does not matter. Professor Derek would make you weep listening to him. Cummins wants to say two things that are diametrically different as if trying to please both sides. That does not leave much. Donal Og for sure and Sheedy is some way balanced. Shane Dowling I don't know for now. Time will tell but for now he is heading the wrong direction.
