Amen to that but we need a very big improvement over today if we have any hope against Limerick. I hope Gerry Macs injury isn't serious. He'll be needed. Galway Abu!

Replying To LohansRedHelmet:  "Jesus the quality is seriously lacking in this game. Cork playing rubbish up to half time. Taking the wrong option constantly. Even a couple of the points they got were a poor low percentage shot selection with better options available. Galway up to nothing either"
You're right the quality was low by both teams. It seemed to me that both teams were very tense. I'm happy that Galway got across the line but they'll get destroyed by Limerick if they don't play much better.

Congratulations to the Offaly Minor Hurlers too.

Quacking in a boot? Is that a Limerick thing?

Great win from the lads, this will bring them on no-end. Now, one game down, one to go; though this weekend is already doing 50% better than I feared a few hours ago.

Gaillimh abú!

Hayes in big trouble again. A good hurler but a very loose corner back

If it walks and quacks in its boots like a duck, it's almost certainly a duck. We'll be big time underdogs in the semi final for sure, but we'll hopefully ruffle a few feathers.

Maybe lads will think twice about appealing obvious suspensions!!! Fahy taken off for Galway after 38 mins, Rory Hayes subbed coffee after 7 mins which seems harsh as he wasn't injured, bit of pressure on Peter Duggan now to perform.

It's a great feeling to be from a County that's in the All Ireland Semi Final!
No harm in getting to the All Ireland Semi Final while not been outstanding. We all know when Galway get to the All Ireland Semi Final that we can be an extremely dangerous opponent. Its better Galway will get

Great competition between Clare and Wexford. Clare doing well to get back into it. This one's going to be close.

Roc huge loss. Ref decisions dodgey on both sides. Moh yellow but duggan not for hand on helmet?? Or am I wrong there, did duggan yellow too?

Okay Duggan who got hit in the face by a lose hand. You were not hit with the humane killer. Also Clare management need to board up your mouth. Becoming the most annoying player in the game.

I've found the games in general to have been quite enjoyable.

It's always a hard watch when your own County isn't involved

What a second half: Clare moved into fifth gear and Wexford had no answer. Powerful stuff. Well done the Banner, and hard luck Wexford.

Fair play to Clare. They showed a lot of character to turn it around after struggling to get going for so long. I expect them to be much better against Kilkenny.

Watched both matches today and both took a long time to get going. Cork looked good but that easy goal keeper mistake and missed frees made.a huge difference in the first half.
They drove on in the second but Galway got fierce criticism after Leinster final and it showed in their performance when they got stuck in.
Wexford were in a good place being 6 up but Clare battled back and that maestro Kelly and 13 hero O Donnell roared back for The Banner and their momentum carried them through. O Connor was a massive loss early for Wexford.

Well done to Galway. Hard luck to our lads. Losing the 2 Recks to injury down the home stretch probably tipped the balance. Dee wasn't right from the start and losing Rory O Connor early were blows too. Good entertaining game though. Now the fight through the traffic to watch them back on TV later.

Both matches lacked quality. Cork left that behind. Wexford just lacked depth and really missed ROC. Clare will be delighted that they had a real off day and weren't punished. Lyons bottled the pen call on chin. The rule was brought in for that exact foul. But fair play to both clare and galway to grind it out.
