Replying To Canuck:  "We disappointed in the championship but when someone else other than Clare gets as close to the champions then our epitaph can be written. The funeral is over for most people. Only thing left to do ie erect the head stone. However I see your scenario."
I was only using you as an example Canuck. The way hurling can go year to year you could win Munster next year.

No why would they?

Replying To updwell:  "Kyle Hayes is x player in this game, where does he go and the ripple effect it will have throughout the field. If he moves out it frees up a Clare full back and closes down the space in the Clare forwards but if he stays Limerick will go high and long down on the 2 Clare corner backs."
Ya I'd agree . I can see kiely putting the 3 lads inside early on. First few mins of a munster final will be hectic, noisy, sporadic. It'll ask big questions of that clare FB line to target them 1 on 1 first few mins and see how they cope. I think Limerick could expose mismatches in there

Yes I know you are right how Cork got this rigged Find it hard to have pity on Kerry because they have sold their vote in the past. Go figure there are 6 countries but I believe 9 votes. Some executives have a vote. In other words some countries have two votes. Some democracy.

Well done KK you can't beat honesty and heart and manly hurling. Galway lucky to have 14 at the end and that handshake in Galway looks as if it rattled Henry with their aggressive play.

Very very poor quality leinster final shocking game. Limerick would eat both of them.

The RTÉ camera person must be looking for an Oscar nomination for documentary of the year after following Cody around for ten minutes hoping to see a handshake - or not a handshake - interspersed with cameos of a pensive Henry wondering should he shouldn't he :-)

Galway players need to have a good look at themselves..I feel sorry for Henry..lucky not to have had at least one sent off for a deliberate stamp..I also thought Flynn lucky with two head high challanges..better team with more heart for the fight and battle needed to win matches..

Possibly the worst Galway performance in a decade ,as bad as last years capitulation to Waterford. Terrible game from start to finish.

Haha. You're right. It was all a 'storm in a tea cup' amplified by the media.

I thought there were 3 straight reds for Galway. They had a nightmare this evening. Like a team that obsessed about the opposition and forgot they're not bad hurlers themselves. They will learn and be better the next day against Cork. Otherwise, good luck and thanks for 2022

No calve (I'm a bit agricultural). As i said previously typical Galway performance when heat is on. Lucky to finish with 15 players

They were certainly fortunate to end with 15. Cummins is gas at times. There were three incidents, all of which might otherwise have been reds, that he either pretended not to see even on replay or passed off as accidents. He did get worked up over a missed double catch!

Cats are not without their flaws but I still think that if they get a shot against Limerick, and I think they will, that they might be the team that will come closest to taking them. Would still fancy Limerick. It would be some final one way or the other. Cody would surely see it as his possible swansong?

Agree with that…. The amount of simple misses the had was unreal… Kilkenny were more up for a battle but ultimately won the game on frees because Galway kept fouling… If they met again Galway could not be as bad but neither team would have much of a chance with Limerick in my opinion…!

The Leinster final was a poor standard. I felt looking at the Galway team that it was all on the 15. I didn't see anything really on the bench that could swing it and there was no real plan B. This kilkenny team I've said from earlier in the year is putting some pieces together but still haven't clicked yet but there can be more in them. I had them high in my rankings as they find ways around oppositions and are again in the AI semi final after 3 Leinsters in a row. They will improve again for another 4 weeks training. Their bench yesterday was stacked. Galway never really looked like winning and probably needed to convert early goal chances. The shefflin-cody thing I think has hindered Galway. I saw at times a nasty side to their play and I wonder did they get distracted from the job at hand?

Cody again for all you say is a winner. Born winner. People can give out about his manner but he'll laugh at that. Galway need to get their heads right before the AI Q Final. The psychology war was won by the cats and they took the trophy.

Very disappointing game yesterday. Kilkenny won with 3 points from play from their starting forwards. I thought the referee was on the fussy side but Galway also did foul a lot. I went for Kk on the basis that I didn't think Galway were hurling well despite every game people saying they should have won by more. I thought up front that Conor Cooney was trying his best to show a bit of leadership but his two handy free misses in the second half were crucial. The form of Brian Concannon is hard to understand but for years I've questioned the quality of ball they get into the full forward line. Galway's two best players and most consistent scorers in monaghan and J cooney hardly touched the ball yesterday. Bright sparks for Galway was that they seem for the first time in a long time to have two really solid corner backs that can hurl. I've been critical of Eanna Murphy before but thought he was good too.
You just knew as the game went on that Kk were going to hang on in there and win. The team that finished looked far stronger than the team that started. I think paddy deegan has his faults but there isn't a more driven player on the country and I thought he was easily man of the match.
Don't really care who I offend but I thought the hand shake thing was another farce. Growing up as a young lad in Tipp you don't like Cody or shefflin. As you mature you appreciate their genius and I gained a lot of respect for Cody for what he has done without the top players he used to have. However, I think he's been a disgrace this year and what he has done to shefflin especially given the timing of it. People can say it's a storm in a tea cup all they want but it was as clear as day what Cody was at yesterday. Disgusting in my opinion. I really can't see how Kk people can defend that behaviour.

Based on that performance yesterday the Leinster teams are a mile up!

The sad reality of the match is that it was so poor that all people could talk about was the handshake. The only other talking point was the stamp. For me, I never mind a hit in the tackle (and my shins prove it having scars on both) but I hate the sneaky thing like that stamp.
The most disgusting dive I have seen since the Clare fella was the Antrim lad in the last few min of the Joe McDonagh cup. How could you look in the mirror today and be proud of that? And how could the linesman not see that it was a blatant dive? Is this going to be the new norm? The game is done if it is for me.

One red was missed. Others look at again on video.

Galway were better off losing the Leinster tournament yesterday as they are not ready for the All-Ireland series.
Quarter-final badly needed to see where we are at. Probably should have had a couple of red cards yesterday to be honest.
Congrats KK.
