And that's why I don't know why Galway didn't try for more goals. Limerick gone flat and the cats roaring back. Game on.

What has to happen for a Kilkenny man to get a free?

The amount of times Hawkeye is called into action makes me wonder was a lot of the umpiring pre-hawkeye and still.in provincial grounds calculated guesses?

Great game. Unbelievable almost come-back from the Cats, but what a team is Limerick. Some composure. They showed it against Galway and again today.
Well done both counties, and delighted for Limerick. Great team.

Hats off to limerick, kilkenny, hegarty, Hannon and Reid. Fantastic game of hurling. I underestimated Kk but they were top class today. Reid was magnificent as was lawlor.
Hannon …what a man, what a captain.
Hegarty up there with one of the really great all Ireland performances. Outrageous fitness and skill and composure. A lot of eyes on the ref ….fair play to him. No one can have any complaints there.
Will be some atmosphere around limerick in the hot sun tomorrow!

Replying To arock:  "Maybe its the heat and Limericks lead but its all a bit flat. Some class shooting from both teams but very loose defending especially from KK. Maybe the fireworks will start in 2nd half but KKs forwards are been cleaned out."
Genuinely one of the most ridiculous comments I've ever read on here.
Great contest. Best all Ireland final in many years.

Great game, Kilkenny couldn't have given anymore and scored 2-26. Limerick showed why they are champions serious fitness and conditioning displayed in the heat

Well done Limerick.

For a Limerick man to look sideways at him, your anti Limerick vibe is sad, enjoy a great match.

Limerick's lead? They never led by more than 6 points which is nothing in hurling, as Galway showed the last day, and Kilkenny today. I do agree that the last 5ish minutes of the first half went quiet, but that was the on.y quiet part of the game.

Congratulations Limerick on winning 3 in a row. They closed the game out in the concluding stages, when it looked like Kilkenny might pull it off. The Cats as usual battled to the end.

One of the great finals with the best 2 teams of the year. Credit Cody for bringing on new players & revamping their style & that grit & never say die attitude, greatest manager ever in hurling. Limerick players & M'ment are one of the greatest teams of the modern era & both teams gave an expedition of hard hitting & hurling in testing heat. Colm Lyons made a good job of reffing the game. Great day's entertainment.

Super final, absolutely delighted for Limerick, and to do it without Cian Lynch too. Fantastic team.

Whatever it is it's been well spent. Limerick will remain a serious force in hurling going forward.

Congratulations to Limerick, deserved their win today and they could do 5 in a row. In answer to your question and to the best of my knowledge, it is an unknown amount as he is a private individual. I am not surprised that it doesn't get more scrutiny as the pundits on the hurling are better pr guys than their hurling counterparts. At this stage in Dublin's winning cycle there were calls to divide the county.
