Congratulations Ballygunner

There was no intention of disrespect meant in that speech. The expectation on making a speeches or presentations is getting out of hand in work, at weddings, matches etc. It is bad enough players are being over analysed and pressurised on their performances at training and matches but now their speeches are being critiqued. Is it time to call a halt to speeches? James Masters was criticised as a minor in 2000 for wishing his parents a happy wedding anniversary and as far as i recall that was the last time an All-Ireland Minor captain made a speech (open to correction here). I am not the biggest fan of Waterford but nobody can deny Waterford or Ballygunner an All-Ireland win, it is long overdue. As for townies vs cluchies, there are savage workers and sound fellas from both rural and urban areas as well as useless, lazy wasters.

Replying To Canuck:  "Where are they ? You started ofd with an agenda " not surprised and townie remark." Completely ignore that Coughlan paid more tribute to Ballyhale than anyone ever does to the opposing team. Selecting what you wanted and ignoring what you wanted. Nothing about the game and Coughlan's contribution holding Colin Fennelly to a point from play. Talking about the location of Waterford clubs that you obviously have no clue. It is easy for anyone to see through what you are about. I don't get cranked up with poster but hateful rhetoric like you posted needs to be called out. I shouldn't, you are a clown unfortunately posing in the great colours of Wexford that is not what they are like."
The fact you are saying Ballygunner are not a townie club clearly says enough about your knowledge of the club in the present. Zero. They are absolute townies. They are also pulling lads from all over the city to play with them as well as basically being in the city itself and its huge surrounds. Its definition on a town club. I wasn't one bit surprised, and that is a fact. It is sad see a club like this winning anything. Only can compare with some of the big 'superclubs' now in some of the cities. I'd appreciate if you could refrain from personal abuse and directing such comments towards me also just because you don't like such things.

You had a run in? You didn't agree with my points and had a little tantrum and started throwing disregardful comments towards me you mean. Like the above. Being narrow minded and making such comments towards people just because you don't agree with or don't like seeing facts says enough about a person.

Think they are only a townie club in the same way Martins, Shels etc are here lad. The city of Waterford has grown out that way. Been there they have excellent facilities and were lucky to get their grounds before land prices went crazy out that way. Going since the 50s and winning senior titles since the 60s. They are not "new money" so to speak. Although as regards being townies their big rivals wouldn't be Passage for talks sake but would be Mount Sion who would be another City club. Nothing wrong with townie hurlers been some great ones from all counties over the years.

Will you go away I couldn't give a toss if we disagree on points, anyway you give very little opinions on games of hurling or football, your usually just bashing other people's opinion's or going about inconsequential stuff, your remark about the speech being a perfect example, your just a mudslinger remind me of the journalist Ewen McKenna and his Twitter nonsense . Your nonsense about knowing more than me or whoever else a few weeks ago sums you up, I couldn't give a toss what you do and don't know, most people don't give a toss what I do or don't know, you seemed to be the only person who gave a toss what I do and don't know. From what I can see you give throw away remarks like the speech get challenged on it and throw the tantrum yourself, what you accuse other people of your the most guilty of yourself, any toxic disagreements your involved your the originator of them, your lack of self awareness is remarkable.

Think there catchment starts around Ardkeen direction and heads out the rural area's then, they've players from urban area's now that might not have been urban area's 40 years ago, then the Hutchinson's are out towards Dunmore East direction for example as far as I know, bit like Kilkenny where the 3 town clubs O'Loughlins, Dicksboro and the Village all have there catchment area going a few miles out of the city, wouldn't be like that for the Harriers or the football clubs in Wexford, Martins catchment goes in as far as the Cinema and Zurich Insurance, Shels as far as the Riverbank hotel, Glynn's come into the racecourse and Crossabeg as far as the Ferrycarrig bridge.

Will I go away? Lovely respectable comments again I see. You seem to have something wrong with you or maybe some issue with any of the points I ever make. I cant find one example of 'bashing' other peoples comments. I can see plenty of comments making contribution to threads and having an opinion. Opinions you just don't agree with and have to make derogative comments back to. I don't think the comment about the speech was 'inconsequential stuff', it was a shocking comment and not what to expect after such a game and finish. Classless. I haven't heard the term mudslinger before but again thanks for throwing abusive comments towards me. You seem quite good at that when you see something you don't like or agree with. I'll take being compared with a successful journalist as a compliment however and thank you for your kind words. The comments about knowing more than you on a certain subject was when you yet again directed abusive comments at me when I posted on a forum. This was not your first time doing this. You clearly didn't like that I had an actual input of information. However not surprising I guess such is your demeanour. For a person who doesn't give a toss you do seem to be giving a lot of tosses in your comment above, I count 4 tosses. So maybe you do give a toss? I cant seem to find any tantrums from myself on this forum regards the speech or throw away comments for that matter, if you would like to point them out to me I would be delighted to see them. Maybe yet again you are seeing and reading what you wish to see yourself again. Not surprising. As for toxic disagreements and me, there seems to be one common denominator for that and that is you Wexico. Maybe there could be some logic behind that. Imagine. However thank you for your last compliment and adding that I am remarkable. Appreciate it.

Firstly your lack of self awareness is raring its head again with the irony of you referring to other people as classless after your typical townie jibe, secondly its very obvious your extremely selective with your memory, examples etc. Finally I'd summarise the rest of this post and a load of hot air seems I live rent free in your head and I'm definitely not worth that hardship , ignoring your trolling for last few weeks has been extremely good for my well being and I'll continue to do say from this post on, good luck.

Selective? I went back through posts again and yet to see any examples you speak of, again making up things Wexico? And it is not trolling just because you don't like what someone has to say and don't agree with their points. Trolling is a perfect example of what you are doing by directing abusive comments towards me constantly. Your're actually a keyboard warrior and bully. Extremely good for your well being? The only way that your well being will be any good I'd imagine is by steering clear of reading what realist's have to say. As for rent free in your head, I can think of far better things to be there than your type. Good luck.

No, it because you didn't like what you seen and can't handle it. Again.

Congratulations to Ballygunner on their very fortunate victory. The real All Ireland champions this year must be St Thomas's of Galway as they were robbed by Ballyhale Shamrocks in the same way as Shamrocks were robbed by Ballygunner. A last minute goal from distance that the Ballyhale keeper Mason should have saved. Such is the luck of the game.

Don't let Canuck see that. Poor fella won't be able to accept that they needed luck to win it. .

well done indeed to Ballygunner, as team that has promised for so long just to fall short in the provincinial or AI semi final stage, this year was no different with their critics, they were on TG4 a few Sundays and by God were they impressive, yet once they came out of Waterford, people who hadnt seen them hurl were writing them off "ah they wont beat such and such etc." ..did ya see them play?...no, but they will hardlyy beat such and such will they? is a flavour of how win after win they were written off..and to win it in the manner they did, rolled up all the heartbreak suffered by them and Waterford hurling in general and was compensated for on Saturday last...delighted to see a team so consistent over the years as Ballygunner eventually get their rewards...how Ballyhale got that far is a testament of a great team but also a team steeped in luck, yes I hear the replies "you make your own luck" etc. but I question that after Ballyhales two escapes this year outside the county and one inside it I think in the semifinal, they also done a lazarus on it...well done to both teams on a super final.

Great year for Club Hurling! Congratulations Ballygunner! Numerous teams were within a whisker of winning it all. That's what you want in sports. Great competition. I'm hoping for St Thomas's to win it next.

Why were they robbed? Reids goal was perfectly legitimate.

Spot on. Great competition with so many debates and talking points throughout the season. Unreal perfromances from Dessie Hutchinson all season and in the Tipp Cship from John McGrath where he had 7/8 man of match performances in a row across both codes.
Dessie looked a great prospect since he returned from England. His touch not 100% initiallly....now there is no one with a better touch. He's completely unmarkable.
Ballygunner deserving champions
