They'd be a massive boost if they were available. Its the lack of availability of players of this quality that is always going to leave the Dublin Hurlers as nearly men. Which is a massive shame. Especially when all the big hurling counties are playing with a full deck most of the times. Hopefully this will start to change in Dublin. I'd imagine as clubmen and with the brother on the team that this conversation has been had. There are rumours that Con has left the footballers but I've heard them before. He would be just the sort of player on his day that Dublin need. Hayes is good but they need another big target man who can win ball and score goals. I'd say the other two wouldn't get up to senior standard at this stage. Their clubs have not been hurling even at top county level. Very sad indeed. Shows how fragile life is and at the end of the day sport is just sport. The support of the GAA family for the family is comfort always given in these sad times. . Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 2868 - 05/03/2022 14:33:02 2403892 Link 0 |
Yes Canuck, fragile and fleeting. Very tough on the family to lose a young father in his prime.

Unbelievably sad news and condolences to his family, I'm sure the community in Ballyhale will rally around them and give them all the support they can.

Poor result for Dublin thought they wouldve made a better game of it I fancied them to win in Parnell Park.
