Replying To daveboy:  "Any chance King Con might give Matty a call? If I was Matty Id be onto Con in a big way. Maybe he has no interest. But if the likes of Con, Kilkenny and Costello decided to hurl for a year or two it would immediately propel Dublin into All Ireland contenders. I think Dublin are not that far off a big breakthrough"
They'd be a massive boost if they were available. Its the lack of availability of players of this quality that is always going to leave the Dublin Hurlers as nearly men. Which is a massive shame. Especially when all the big hurling counties are playing with a full deck most of the times.
Hopefully this will start to change in Dublin.

I'd imagine as clubmen and with the brother on the team that this conversation has been had.

There are rumours that Con has left the footballers but I've heard them before. He would be just the sort of player on his day that Dublin need. Hayes is good but they need another big target man who can win ball and score goals.

I'd say the other two wouldn't get up to senior standard at this stage. Their clubs have not been hurling even at top county level.

Very sad indeed. Shows how fragile life is and at the end of the day sport is just sport. The support of the GAA family for the family is comfort always given in these sad times.

Yes Canuck, fragile and fleeting. Very tough on the family to lose a young father in his prime.

Unbelievably sad news and condolences to his family, I'm sure the community in Ballyhale will rally around them and give them all the support they can.

Poor result for Dublin thought they wouldve made a better game of it I fancied them to win in Parnell Park.

Ya Galway up for the Limerick match but then desperate against Cork tonight and Wexford. Hard to watch if you're a fan

How in the name of God was Daithi Burke not sent off for breaking a hurley across Robbie Oflynns legs..and he on a yellow? If that was a Limerick player there would be uproar
