I am a member yes but I am saying this with respect to the people who travel the length and breadth of the country to Monaghan games who might not be associated to any club, which I have no problem with either. There is several reasons why they might not be associated to a club and therefore not a member.

That shouldn't rule them out of a chance of getting a ticket. There must be a better system available to allocate tickets for such important games. A loyalty scheme or something. These systems work for the likes of Electric Picnic and other events, where there is a history recorded (via email address) of previous attendances and therefore you get a preference to tickets. A very easy fix IMO.

Same thing come All Ireland finals, place is full of people who never attended a game all year, influencers in the best seats in the place and they wouldn't know football from hurling. More than likely getting their tickets free also. It is a proper kick in the teeth for the people who pay every week to brig families to games. Paying in when there is very few others there and then come the biggest day of the day whether that is Ulster final, Leinster final, any big day out these people struggle to get tickets.

1. His or her club.
2. Plenty of 'true football fans' live in different parts of the country and abroad and regularly attend county games and club games but may not be currently a member of a club in the county.

Not withstanding that - I agree clubs should get first access.

I'm sure there are many people on this forum who do not live in Monaghan or Ireland and who travel at great expense to see the county team whenever possible, and not just for the good days. Many of them are likely members of GAA clubs abroad who will not have access to tickets.
Why should they be excluded?

No one is asking for them to be excluded, If your a paid up member of a club in the county you get first access to the tickets, If there is any tickets left over from the Monaghan or Armagh club allocation they will then go on general sale.

Same with concerts, taylor swift, coldplay etc, signed up presale and artist fans get first crack then general sale, simple as.

I believe there only will be general sale if clubs don't use all allocated tickets. Highly unlikely in my opinion.

Every club in both Monaghan and Armagh will have requests in for more than they will get.

what a game Saturday evening.. still not over it.. incredible. That will live long in the memory.
Bobby McCaul has to start next time if fit for full 70 mins as we his physical presence and need a blistering start. If we let Armagh go 10 points up, we are goosed.
What's the news on Wylie and Mohan ? aother two lads we could use over the 70 mins.

Whisper it quietly but I think Derry might actually have a stronger first XV than Armagh. However, if Armagh do get ahead by 8 -10 points in the Ulster Final, which is more than possible, there's no way they will let that slip against a team like Monaghan. The key for Monaghan will be to stay with Armagh for 60 minutes and have something in reserve down the stretch.
Matchups, matchups, matchups- huge work to do for GB and co in the next few days.

Question is do we start with the team that finished? Not much point bringing these boys on if we're 10 points down again. An Ulster title is there for us now and is something we need to go all out for.

Having the draw before provincial finals gives the likes of mayo and teams like that a clear advantage as they have a chance to get a good at there opposition in clones croke Park and other provincial grounds and plan ahead like mayo can plan from yesterday to the end of May whereas monaghan has to concentrate on armagh first think the draw should have been made after provincials and give provincial finalists 2 weeks prep

Delighted with Armaghs performance on Sunday. They couldn't have done us a bigger favour, getting all the attention that was on us after Saturday evening and getting it placed on them instead.
In relation to the Armagh- Down game, I don't understand why Armagh felt like they had to play their hearts out until the final whistle. Would it not have made more sense to slow the game right down, get game time into some of the less experienced on the panel. To me it seems like they only know one way to play and any deviation away from that is inconceivable, is this the K McG school of management? If Monaghan went out and played like that in a Semi against a team that had long given up, I wouldn't be impressed. I'd like us to save ourselves for the next day out.
Yes, GB has a big task ahead of him but I believe K McG might have a bigger one. He has to figure out how to play a team that's evolving with every game.
I think we know what to expect from Armagh but Armagh certainly don't know what to expect from Monaghan.

I get that they have folded in big games before, but they also have a record of overrunning teams when they get a run on them. Monaghan need to ask some big questions of them from the off, a tentative start would be a disaster in my view. With more players coming back, I hope GB continues to select on form.

Not sure id agree with that , GB with much more to worry about , Armagh scoring heavily all year with strong runners , we look very vulnerable to fast attacks , against Cavan and Derry and we are conceding 2-3 goals a game , much bigger problem to address that in two weeks , Armagh are righty hot favourites for this much more so than Derry were , it would take a massive 70 mins performance to match them

Understandably Armagh are going to be massive favorites. This is their 4th Ulster final in a row and have won an All Ireland in that time also, as well as competing at the top stage the whole time. They could be easily going for 4 Ulster titles in a row only for 3 narrow defeats and bad penalty taking.

Monaghan have a lot of fires to put out against this Armagh team. Conanty, McConville, Duffy, Turbitt are massive scoring threats inside. McMullan, Jarly Og, Murnin coming from deep are awful powerful runners and need watched so Monaghan have a lot to worry about with regard to armagh running directly at them.
But if Monaghan show up with their second half attitude, work rate and fight they will put it up to Armagh. Monaghan had their fair share of wides/shorts on Saturday there so this needs improved on also.

Listened to Conaty and McGeeney speak after their semi final and they both stated how Monaghan will not have a fear of them come the final day. Monaghan have a free shot at an Ulster title, big few weeks preparation and try get the bodies right and fit.

I'm not in any way being dismissive of Armagh, they are a tight, tight unit but the weight of expectation on them now is massive. Think it would have been better for Armagh if K McG hadn't put his whole arsenal on display. Mental fortitude is needed going into your 4th Ulster final with no medals to show for it and I think Armaghs game against Down should have been managed better on Sunday, so much pressure on Armagh now.

Totally disagree. Armagh have won the biggest prize of all and im sure they have enough to deal with the expectation of an Ulster final. The most important medal to count is the celtic cross. You could look at this game and even say it doesn't matter in the slightest as the most important competition begins next weekend as well. Armagh will of course want to win but it's not a season decider. Agree with others we will need to curtail there running game and be aggressive.
