Otherwise stop spouting nonsense. If I mentioned Moate it was as a half decent team in section B who could challenge for the second spot behind The Downs, in other words they had a chance of finishing 8th in the championship round robin, I also didn't think they were relegation candidates. I suggested Buddah Mangan weeks ago on this forum and without any inside sources I still think he's a serious contender. He ticks a lot of boxes managerial wise, former player who performed on the biggest day, lots of management experience at club and county level, remarkably he's still playing senior championship football in his mid forties, knows the Westmeath football scene inside out, great man manager, has had championship success at senior level albeit in hurling but his football knowledge is flawless, probably in his last spell as Castletown manager, highly respected by Westmeath gaels, an outside manager would be lacking in many key areas compared to Buddah. Would Westmeath be any further on in a few years that is the question. he could be the first to manage Westmeath in football and hurling as i think he would be also a great fit for the hurlers after bulfin goes.
