Caulry a shambles today, Manager would not let certain under 19's play during the week and then wouldn't start them today against St Loman's. Under 19's gave a walk over.
Then brought on 3 Jr players when 12pts down, they won't get any more football for the Yr.
Manager claims they are on a 7 weeks program, and then gaves them this week off.
Players couldn't understand why he did this tonight after two battling wins, one more pt and in a QF. It all depends on other results now. For a club going so well to let this fella run roit and cause massive headaches going forward it is very wrong.

I attended both games in Cusack Park this evening , great win for shandonagh, Moate will be kicking themselves in the driving seat and now all of a sudden are fighting to earn that 2nd quarter final spot , although a Garrycastle win tomorrow throws that group wide open at both ends for all teams, the second game was exhibitional stuff from St Lomans the scores they kicked were outrageous at times ,John Heslin gave an exhibition in midfield , otoole kicked some unbelievable scores from what I seen today when push comes to shove and the championship enters the semi final and final I honestly don't see anyone laying a glove on lomans

Exciting day tomorrow I hope to attend the double headers in lomans and Rochfortbridge , looking forward to another fascinating championship Sunday in Westmeath

Hard to see Garrycastle winning either game the way they have been playing. In addiiton to all their absentees, I believe some of their key players have been playing while injured and that leaves them very vulnerable with no time to recover. They look certainties for relegation at this stage.

Was in Kinnegad on fri night and fair play to Athlone for sticking with Shamrocks in a tight game and their efforts paid off with a late winner which they worked hard for.Was at the double header in the park yesterday where in the first game Moate late on somehow managed to turn a certain win into a loss.Complacency-bad decision making and horrendous defending in the last few minutes gave Shandonagh a chance and did they take it but fair play to Shandonagh for not dropping their heads when all seemed lost. The second game was a non avent where Lomans strolled to a win against a shambolic Caulry outfit.Im sure Lomans would of had tougher in house training games.A lot of mumbling in the crowd over the Caulry team selection and positional play where the natives were not one bit happy but with Maguire/McCormack/Connolly/Bakers on the pitch they were still at nothing.Lomans did put in a superb display of scoring but could it have been closer if Caulry were really at it??

Keyboard warrior.

Easy to get facts right if you went and looked it up

U19 game postponed with St Lomans. No walkover given. But don't let facts get in the way of a good rant

Replying To Claretandblue:  "Can't read much into it? Caulry had a full strength team for second half and ended up losing by 15 points, it was only 10-11 at half time. It's completely disrespectful to paying customers and the competition to field an understrength team in the championship."
1-10 to 0-2 at Half time

2-20 to 0-10 at full time

Were far from full strength at full time with Moran, doyle, o'donovan, Grennan and Connaughton still on bench.

This will not haunt Caulry. They will still get to at least a Semi/Final

Great achievement for Tang to make the quarter final. Many (including me) would have made them favourites for relegation.
Shandonagh and Athlone will both be playing teams with nothing to play for in last round. But if they both win without improving their scoring difference by a huge about , then they are both out. Unless Moate Shamrocks is a draw. So many permutations.

Keyboard Warrior... Facts are Caulry did give a walkover in the Under 19's
Obviously u don't like to hear some home truths.
Every man/woman in the stand couldn't believe what Caulry management were playing at yesterday.

Does final group standings be decided by scoring average first or head to head

Huge result for Tyrrellspass, thats Downs out and down to Section B.
Hard to believe that with round still left.
Worst defence of the Flanagan Cup as far back as I can remember, not one win.
Second game was terrible to watch, Killucan got there All Ireland. Same old Kinnegad, in fairness ref rode them and gave Killucan loads easy frees
Its definitely not as clear cut now as to who advances.

Garrycastle down after years of success things have to be at all time low . Second team played championship the other night and scored 0-00 how the mighty have fallen the wheel keeps turning. Tang have to be favourites for a semi final now management doing the right things unlike other clubs this weekend!

Caulry beat Downs and Tyrrellspass beat Kinnegad that means Caulry are into semi finals.
Shane Curran masterclass is unfolding.

Was at the game myself and Kinnegad rode themselves...Certainly nothing to do with ref that they lost that game...Killucan were up for it..Kinnegad lacked a bit of bite.. Killucan well deserved the win.. Tyrellspass took the game to dog fight and The Downs got sucked in and threw it away in first game..

Athlone Garrycastle game in last round should be interesting on many fronts. Will pride/hurt kick in for Castles or Athlone seize the opportunity to lay down a marker for the future. Shamrocks/Moate should also have an edge to it. The Downs joining Section B next year hard to believe.

Athlone haven't beaten Garrycastle since 2001 - the year Garrycastle won the first of their eight county titles. They will never have a better chance to finally break this trend, with a possible quarter final place up for grabs and nothing in it for Garrycastle.

Will Garrycastle even be training the next two weeks? Athlone will surely win , but unlikely by enough to overturn scoring difference. Will need Shamrocks to beat Moate and Tang to beat Shandonagh. Then through on h2h against Shamrocks. Or draws in those games.
Might be the last Athlone Garrycastle championship game for a good while.

Strange thing to say killucan got there all Ireland and that the ref rode kinnegad , the fact off the matter was killucan were the better team in every area off the pitch and squander 2 clear cut goal chances should've won by more , you really haven't a clue

both Garrycastles 1+2 teams relegated from league and Championship, Junior semi final last year and senior final replay the year before, yesterday's match only 3 players under 30 in starting 15, 5 players 38-41yrs , No youth?? or no belief in their younger players which doesn't look good for the immediate future,
