I have been watching those academy results the past few years and we are certainly progressing. Beating a "stronger" county is always good for morale. Hard luck on the youngsters narrowly beaten by Limerick. They will learn from that and hopefully soon we will be winning these kind of competitions.

Haven't been able to go to any games this year as we've had a new arrival, but shocking how little the championship is being promoted. There are no clips, highlights or match reports being posted on YouTube or social media. You can't even read the newspaper game reports online without subscribing to the Independent online (Which I don't want to do).

Every senior championship game is filmed, why can't they put up the replays a week later? I think the clubs may need to pay to access them but surely they could allow some time to pass and provide them free to the public?

To me, there are only 2 questions here. Who will Bray play in the final and how much will they - Bray- win by.

I Don't think it matters who Bray play in the final.

This weekends matches are a bit like "moving day" in golf. It's make or break time for some. Whatever about who might progress to the knockouts, the relegation candidates will become a little clearer. To me, AGB are the best on show to date. This can change. St Pats v Rathnew should show if the Rathnew revival is real or not. Balto seem to be struggling to shake off their league form. Blessington are as ever - puzzling but I for one wouldn't write off their chances of lifting Miley. I don't think that this is Greystones or Tinahelys year. Hope I am wrong as Tinahely can be a force - on their day.

Was that a shock last night with Kiltegan beating Blessington . I don't think so. Kiltegan should have win by more.
Will there be any more shocks today and tomorrow.

Moving Sunday indeed. Group 1 looks like a straight shoot out for the last spot between Greystones and Baltinglass. Tinahely definitely through with St Pats and Rathnew probables. St Pats have put a good run together after a poor start. Dunlavin definitely in the relegation play off.

Group 2 a lot more unclear with Avondale and Roundwood to play their fourth round game. AGB and Kiltegan through but pick any two from the other four to join them.

A horrific injury in that game between Avondale and An Tochair. Best wishes to the young player who I regard as one of the finest young forwards in the county. This has highlighted a flaw in the system though. Extra time and penalties may have sorted out a few kinks in this "compacted" timetable, but nobody factored is a game having to be abandoned and replayed. Those guys have to do it again on Tuesday and then get back out again at the weekend ? I am not going to blame anyone or point fingers but it seems to me that there was an extraordinary time lapse before an ambulance arrived on Saturday.

Just after hearing. Best wishes to the lad. Sounds like a really bad one.

Best wishes to the Avondale player in what looked a nasty injury. Great to see the game refixed and sorted so soon. We are in for an interesting last Round of games with a lot up for grabs. Another solid win for Arklow who continue their solid form and have the luxury of resting players this weekend if required. Fantastic win for Kiltegan on Friday night and have a lot of momentum going into knockout stages. In Group 1, what has happened to Baltinglass this year? Having been in the last 3 county finals, they now look up against it to qualify for the quarter finals of this years championship. Wicklow Town appear to be timing their run nicely and Tinahely look to be playing to their potential again after a year or 2 of head scratching performances. As always, don't write off the Villagers!

Speedy recovery to Conor. A couple of interesting matches this weekend, most notably Rathnew and Baltinglass. AGB are certainly flying it. Kiltegan deserved their win and should have won by more. Don't rule Am Tochar out of it. Tinahely won't be too far away and will be boosted further by the return of their injured duo. Pats have turned their season around and won't be too far away. Baltinglass haven't got going at all this year so Rathnew will fancy their chances.

Interesting quarter finals ahead.

Who was the player who suffered the nasty injury? Hate to hear about games being abandoned due to injury as an injury must be very bad to postpone a game completely. Hope the player makes a speedy recovery and back playing before too long.

Player was Conor Byrne, as I said earlier, to me one of the best young players in the county. Hopefully he recovers quickly. I think the reason the game was abandoned was the length of time it took to get an Ambulance. Rumour has it that the Ambulance had to come from the North Side of Dublin. What sort of system have we developed with this centralised control. Something here needs looking into.

Thank you Freethinker. All the best to Conor Byrne; hope he makes a full recovery and returns to the playing field soon. I attended a match in Aughrim a couple of years back when a Dunlavin player accidently collided with one of the Blessington players and hurt his head and neck. He lay on the field for about forty minutes until an ambulance arrived.
I hope to God that there is never an emergency at any these games when time is of the essence and that an ambulance is required.

Great credit must go to the organisers of the senior championship this year. We are all too quick to attack when things go wrong but the majority of teams are playing for something this weekend.
Agb will want to keep the momentum going and maintain their unbeaten run, Balto and Eire Og scrapping for the last spot in the group.
Pats are gaining with a huge psychological win versus Rathnew, the league champions. Blesso need a big one this weekend if they are to really be seen as challengers.

An tochar v Avondale … An tochar easy, Conor Byrne a huge loss.

AGB v Kiltegan …….. Agb by 5
Balto v Rathnew ……Rathnew by 1
Tinahely v Eire Og… Tinahely by 5
Blesso v Avondale Blesso by 6
Dunlavin v St Pats .. Pats by 10
An Tochar v Bray ….. Bray by 1

I think the Bookies have it right with Arklow as Hot favourites. Tinahely will not be far away and Pats might have a big say in who picks up the silverware.
