Its on the expensive side in this current economic situation I think. Greedy even. Will put a lot of parents under pressure to buy a T-shirt and woolly hat for huge money. Half the price would be plenty. They'll probably be available for a very reasonable price in a few weeks I hope."
Yeah just saw the comments on social media which weren't positive to put it mildly.

I really don't think the jersey situation has been thought out at this time..asking people to fork out €150 at this particular time doesn't seem right..what happens when a family have 2 or 3 children and they all want the New Jersey..there has been huge support for what the team have achieved since 2018 but this might be step to far..asking people to pay for a team holiday seems far fetched to me but then maybe I'm the odd one out..on the club scene the senior doesn't look like changing,na piarsaigh, killmallock and doon look to be the 3 who winner will come from..the well look to be struggling and the gap to the rest is enormous..premier inter is very hard to call but I'd give Monaleen the vote to get back to senior..croagh are flying in inter, after losing final last year they might be the team who get promoted..in the juinor it looks as if you could pick any of maybe 6 clubs who have a chance..it looks like being a very interesting few weeks ahead..

Dont think these jerseys were meant to be bought by every supporter and are only going to be used for Munster league. Id imagine the target market were not families but adults with disposable income who wouldnt mind paying 150 for the honour of having their name on a jersey and support the hurlers. A jersey is 60 quid in shops and a beanie hat 15 so getting half it back in goods and supporting our team who've brought so much enjoyment sounded ok with me, i was happy to buy one at 150 but i can see how you could have 3 kids plaguing you for one each.

I wonder how many names fit on a jersey, 1000? apparently there was quite a lot bought on day one so clearly theres a good few out there with a few pound supporting Limerick hurlers.

The club scene is going well with decent crowds across all the grades.
The senior seems to look like Na Piarsaigh and Kilmallock finishing in the top spots in Group one meaning they both qualify for semi finals and avoid each other . Doon and Patrickswell will finish third and fourth meaning they will go into q/finals with top two in Group 2 looking like Kildimo/Pallaskenry & Ballybrown which would create two interesting quarter finals but i still think Kilmallock/Na Piarsaigh final with NAP to lift Daly Cup and go a long way in All Ireland.

I must say I like the unusual dynamic of 4 going through in 1 group and 2 in the other in your championship.

Agree regards NAP, the possibility of them vs Ballygunner in a Munster semi final would really be a game to look forward too.

I think having the games outside the Gaelic Grounds has added to the atmosphere and quality of the games.3, 000 people in GG are lost and the place is soulless,it should be only used foe a semi-finals double header and then the final. It's also a huge boost bringing all star hurlers to smaller Grounds around the county and players of this calibre playing a championship match in your local pitch.
Kilmallock and NaP look the 2 outstanding teams at the moment but Doon(as usual) are the dark horses capable of mixing it with the top 2 as they have already or possibly going out in a quarter final to a BB or KP in a whimper. Patrickswell will hopefully make a quarter final and have a 50/50 chance but will not beat the big 2 after that. NaP to win it but Kilmallock will take th if they aren't 100% and the winner will give Ballygunner a good game.

Buy a jersey if you want, if you don't move on. Nobody died and Limerick GAA aren't putting a gun to anyone's head.

In the current cost of living climate to charge 150 initially was tone deaf in my opinion, would have felt the same if it was Wexford, Kilkenny, Cork or any county.

Obviously nobody died. Silly thing to say.
Another silly thing to say is "buy it if you want, don't if you don't want to". Did you ever think that some people might want to buy it but can't afford it??
Also if someone has a child or children looking for them, then €150 and even €100 is poor value for a training too and a beanie.
Ignorance is bliss in your case.

I enjoyed reading this. Michael, was limited to three. I'd say that if he had his way, it wouldn't stop at 20. Anything to Make Cork Great Again (MCGA).

There's loads of stuff I'd love to buy but I can't afford them so I do without, that's the way of the world. As for the kids wanting them you can just say no every now and then.

I didn't buy one, nor won't. But still financially support Limerick monthly draw, even though some of the prizes might even inconvenience me (being overseas).

Move on…do or don't! But save the explanations!

The other side story has been the relegation of the field in Bruff as regards the playing of matches there.

Club Championships looking a small bit Clearer after weekend.Having games out the county has led to a lot better athmospheres and much larger crowds this year.
Senior - Na Piarsaigh and Kilmallock into semi finals and may well be joined by Doon & Patrickswell as the last 4 for the 5th consecutive year, Kildimo/Pallaskenry & South Liberties will have other ideas in the quarter finals .
Premier Inter- Tight as ever this year with 6 teams still in contention all down to the seventh round of fixtures , Monaleen look most likely to qualify with Newcastle West, Bruff , Glenroe,Effin & Dromin Athlacca still in the hunt, Knockainey will drop down to intermediate.
Intermedite- Down to 6, Croagh & Na Piarsaigh into semis with Pallasgreen & Granagh/ballingarry my fancies in their quarter finals with Bruree & Croom respectively but nothing between quarter finalists. Murroe Boher were dissapointing in this competition. Caherline v Kilmallock in relegation.
Junior A - Be a brave man pick the winner of this with unbeaten St Kierans & Cathal O Neill led Crecora , Perenial favourites Castletown/Ballyagran , the peaking at the right time Dromcollogher/Broadford , old powerhouse Kileedy, weekend surprise packets Kilteely Dromkeen ( eliminating tournafulla) & the two seconds outfits from Patrickswell & Doon all capable of lifting the title.
