You never spoke a truer word, Square_B has been spouting his begrudgery towards Andy Moran since he arrived.

Will he be saying the Rosary that Leitrim lose tomorrow and he can then say I told you so.

Come on Leitrim I will be cheering you on

Good luck to Leitrim tomorrow. Deserving winners over us last week.

Replying To leitrimabu1:  "The official attendance at the Leitrim v Derry Div 4 Final was 31,000, the majority support from Leitrim as Derry didn't travel. If we win in Sunday the opposition will come from the Southern section so the combined attendance could be higher than our last visit. Can't understand why this debate is taking place among posters who obviously don't do their research but express silly opinions. Of course our players want to get to Croke Park."
Why do you think our opposition will come from the southern section? It's an open draw as far as I know.

Big game today, a win and a game in Croke Park would be huge for the development of the team, the more games we get in this competition the better in preparation for next year's league. Sligo will be thinking exactly the same and they will fully expect to come to Carrick and win as they have beaten us twice already this year and in last year's league too and all by fairly comfortable margins and a feature of those games was how much easier Sligo could get their scores and that remains a worry as our defence is still conceding too much. Should be very little in it , hopefully we can be tighter at the back than previously and maybe that could edge us over the line. Hopefully a big Leitrim crowd comes out today , there's a trip to Croke Park on the line, its a Bank Holiday weekend and the team will need big vocal support today. Best of luck lads.

Not so sure it will be easy but fingers crossed. Absolutely would be a great day out for all the long suffering fans. It will be all steam ahead for 2023 anyhow regardless.

What a ridiculous comment. Do you normally accept everything at face value in your life? You're very nieve if you do.

How can you guarantee that? it really should be London that Leitrim are playing at home today, Sligo was very lucky to win that game.

Best of Luck today Leitrim. I'd love to see a Cavan/Leitrim semi final/final in Croke Park.

Very poor display in normal time and we're very lucky to have brought it to ET. Could have gone anyway after that

Sickening way to lose , great spirit to bring it to extra time but overall Sligo were the better team and best of luck to them. We've a lot of work to do if we are going to push for promotion next year defensively especially.

A tight game. Shame to see Leitrim not get over the line after their display against us last week.

What's the deal with these comments about the only sensible poster on this forum, and I include myself in that. Moran hasn't brought Leitrim on in any way, and you could tell that at the game today, Sligo should have beaten us by 7 or 8 points at least in normal time only for chronic shooting on their part...and isn't that the third time they've beaten us in competitions this year. That doesn't suggest any kind of progress. Take off the blinkers. Looing at players and lepping up and down on the sideline does not make a good manager. How many of the top lads do you see at that.

I wholeheartedly agree with Weatherfieldgael, We finished 4th in Div 4 thats 28th place, the 4 teams below us would have struggled in the Cumann na mBunscol finals.
We narlowly beat London and got hammered by Galway, we beat the worst team ever to travel to Carrick last week and lost to Sligo for the 3rd time this year.
Where can so many people see progress? What are they looking at? We could have been well beaten today and on the other hand we could have won it, maybe if they were prepared better, or mentally stronger!
Its not right to be making excuses and singing the managements praises, say it as it is, and what it is is not good enough!

I wouldn't have agreed with some of the management substitution today, Found it hard to believe Shane Moran stayed on for as long as he did and why Donal Flynn was taken off.. Players have to take blame for most of the bad play today, some shocking moment in first half which management can't really control. Only for Keith, Ryan O'Rourke, Jordan Flynn and Pearce Dolan, the rest were very poor. Defense still a major issue. You can't say there isn't progress, can you tell when have Leitrim ever used 30 odd players in a season between league and championship. This isn't a quick fix we are still a division 4 team. I think some people on here are forgetting that
