Replying To Leitrimforliam:  "Your wrong Ballinagleragh is 40-45 mins from Gortletteragh and 30 min from Manorhamilton. I believe you put the townland of Ballinaglera into your maps.

That being said the standard of the pitch should be the most important aspect when picking a neutral venue."

Are you on the fixtures committee. If not they must be using the same map as you

Replying To gaelsboy:  "On what, a tractor? It's 40 to 45 mins depending on where in gortlettragh you are leaving from, unless you drive 30 miles an hour. But agreed that it's closer to manor. Is what it is, I've noticed that nearly all games in north Leitrim have a north Leitrim ref too, don't think it makes much difference, not everyone wants to be travelling round the county up to an hour to ref games if expenses work out the same."
It has always been same. South Leitrim refs ref in South Leitrim generally and North Leitrim refs in the north. Due to this you may find familiarity breeds contempt. There are some tetchy enough relationships with players and refs developed over the years.

Any word on Mickey Graham's background team? It's 5 weeks since he was appointed.

Heard nothing. I'd be thinking it's someone still involved with a club.

Leitrim Gaa live streamed both intermediate games redzer. Manor were tweeting score updates from their game as were Annaduff in theirs. How's the gambling going anyway? I see you have each counties forum plagued.

I wouldn't be too hard on the Leitrim GAA website in terms of live score updates. Are there any other county websites that do? And I'd imagine that any updates that are on a county's website just come from updates on Twitter, a area that Leitrim GAA is usually not found wanting. Also, individual clubs supply live updates on their games sometimes. Speaking of scores, they have a very good archive of club league and championship results going back to 2004. It's not prefect and there are gaps (e.g. Group 4 of the 2007 intermediate is missing) but it's far better than other counties' offerings, whose results pages look tortuous and then the current year's results disappear once the following year's action starts.

A sad existence if your from Waterford and you are under pressure for scorlines from club games in Leitrim. Its unreal what people will do to avoid work for "handy money".

There's a really good website with practically live scores, live table standings as the games are in play and upcoming fixtures but I'm not sure they'd allow mention of it here. A bit of a clue is it is called what the ref does at the end of every game...he blows the...

No rude answers please

The Leitrim GAA website is on the whole very good. It's well put together and the various sections are easy to access so credit to whoever put it together qnd maintains (a live twitter feed from the various club would be good though). I didn't realise how good it was until I had a look on the next door neighbour's site. What a mess.

At least we can beat the Rossies at something.

You should put your hand up and help improve that if it bothers you that much. Anyone who helps organise games have a duty to the clubs involved, not a lad sitting on Twitter.

i'm going with Mohill and Ballinamore. Mohil are stronger than Fenagh but Ballinamore/Marys are even. but i'd go with Ballinamore because of their firepower. despite the negative choking style that Marys play i think Ballinamore will break them down.

It's a fantastic pitch but I think the location and the lack of stand may mean it will be held elsewhere.

I was at the Manorhamilton and Gortletteragh game in Gleragh on Saturday. Several players went down with ankle injuries due to the uneven surface. There was water lying all over the pitch. Also the field of play was littered with what looked to be dog faeces. Absolutely disgusting conditions. Not sure why the county board decided to hold the game there but Ballinagleragh really ought to be looking at themselves. No reason why any team should have to play in conditions like that. They knew a week in advance they were hosting the game and really should've had their facilities in the best shape possible. I'd be extremely disappointed if my own club treated two clubs playing a neutral venue game in our patch the same way.
