Replying To The_analyser: "Management expenses covers all teams. U20s for example made their exit after one game in 2023 to All Ireland semi final this year, their management team included a few fellas from Clare. Our county board spending is well monitored." Is that you Davy? Or Brian? Crazy money. Mental.

My point is the expenses covers all county teams and will natural be high figures when the county board appoint plenty of outside coaches than those within the county.

I see that the likes of Lavin, Hussey, McCormack, Colin Walsh, Andy Glennon, Adam McDermott and Cian Connolly have left the panel, all bar McCormack weren't starters but never the less 3 backs there and it's a position we need to find depth in in the coming months. Colm Neary, Tim Lambe, Oisin Cregg, John McManus and Pearse Frost all brought. Would really like to see Frost and Declan Kenny get a chance in the league amongst others. Anyone know if Conor Daly is definitely back once the Pearses lads return?

"County board spending is well monitored ". 325k is a crazy money to spend on managing amateur sports teams. It's not just Roscommon either btw. It's obvious where the bulk of that money went. Value for money?

Not cheap to keep all county teams running nowadays, Meals/nutrition/Catering. Medical expenses etc. Player mileage would be big money also, how many Roscommon players are currently living in Roscommon?

Management expenses 325k (up a whopping 100k from 2023) were almost as much as players milage. Only a matter of time before the players will look for more. And rightly so. It's them putting in the huge levels of commitment.

I hope that's last ever county finals played outside Roscommon. Totally misjudged decision by the county board with having six clubs driving past plenty of playable pitches within the county.
Results in the three U20 finals and windy and cold Bekan.
Div1 Final Roscommon Gaels 0-11 Éire Óg /Michael Glavey's 1-6
Div 2 final Oran/St Croan's 3-6 St Dominics 2-5
Div 3 Final Western Gaels 0-15 Kilglass Gaels/St. Barry's 0-7
Div 1 final as competitive as the scoreline suggests and was a case of Roscommon Gaels finishing strongly with good impact off the bench which included Ethan O'Reilly. Ryan Conlon who scored 0-6, Rory Carthy, Senan Lambe and Eoghan Carthy was among the best for the winners. Daniel Hagney,Niall Heneghan,Oisin Kelly best for Éire Óg /Michael Glavey's . Rob Heneghan,Brian Greene didn't get into the game as much as they liked credit to the way Shane Moran and his management that and I hope Shane who is the county U17 manager next year has the team as well organised and disciplined.
Div 2 final was the best of the three finals. County U17 minors Eoin Collins,Alan Conroy very good for Oran/Croans and scoring 1-4 between them. Like the Div 1 final the winners was thankful to a strong finish only difference was two goals instead of six points. St Dominics improved a lot from the group meeting between the two and had plenty of talent on display in Michael Moran,Ronan McDermott,Rory KilclineTom Cotton.
Only got to see the 2nd half of the Div 3 final as the Div 1 final wasn't over until 2pm. At the stage Western Gaels was 0-6 to 0-4 in front and within 10 to 12 minutes of the 2nd half the lead went out to 0-11 to 0-4 and match was won. A boost to Western Gaels having a number of good young players coming through in Eanna Nolan,David Higgins,TJ Hannon, The Harringtons and of course Rory Hester who was their senior top scorer this year,
Happy Christmas and prosperous, healthy new year to my fellow rossies.
