Replying To anotheralias:  "Just to clarify. Roscommon are almost certainly safe . But my point is that if Roscommon were to remain on 6 points , and a team is to be relegated on 6 points, it will be the points difference rather than head to head that will save Ros.
This is because the only way a team would be relegated on 6 is if Monaghan beat Mayo and Armagh get a result ( draw or win) v Tyrone . And if Ros were to remain on 3 it would come down to points difference as there would be 3 teams on 6.
Monaghan would need to overturn a 17 point or so difference if this was to happen i.e. Ros to lose by 8 or 9 to Donegal, Mayo to lose by 8 or 9 to Monaghan........very very very unlikely"
My reading of it is if Armagh and Monaghan win then if Rossies don't get something in last game they go down on the head to head with Monaghan. If 3 teams are level it goes on score difference and the the Rossies should be safe.

Incorrect . If Armagh win that keeps Tyrone on 6 also , and in the scenario you outlined Ros, Monaghan and Tyrone would be on 6, which means scoring difference.

If Armagh and Monaghan both win and Roscommon lose, it would mean that there would be at least three teams; Roscommon, Tyrone and Monaghan on 6 points. Maybe even Kerry as well. Scoring difference comes into play and it would look like Monaghan will not stay up. At the moment, Rossies + 1, Tyrone +1, Monaghan -16.

We're in no real danger unless Mayo take Sunday afternoon off and we do as well.!

Will be more Armagh in danger if that happens. I can't see Armagh getting anything out of Omagh so should remain on 5 points. Mayo playing a 2nd string team and Monaghan winning won't be a surprise.

I think we go back the pitch more than forward. For the Donegal game I think a couple of changes in the forwards is needed."
Agreed. I wouldn't mind seeing young Walsh get another chance plus some changes in the forwards. McKeon to start? What is the story with Cathal Heneghan? Are there any other players people would like to see get some game time?

Heneghan is only back doing gym work, will be another while before he returns to the field. On those that need game time N Kilroy,R Fallon,P Carey. And perhaps Cian Connolly will make the 26 this weekend.

Yea those lads could do with minutes. I thought Cian Connolly would have been used more than he has been, can't recall him even listed on the bench.

Am i the only one who thinks ros had a bit of a shout for a peno at the end of kerry game? Havent seen any mention if it on conventional or social media.

Sunday night's RTÉ programme didn't even utter a single word about the game never mind look at that incident.
To me (biased I know) it looked a nailed on penalty but super ref gave a free out for some reason.
Probably the usual ref cop out of give the defending team a free out as a means of restarting play.
One of Kerry's last points looked wide too.

Ref wouldn't hesitate to give a free if happened out the field. Last play of the game giving a penalty to opposition in Tralee to grab a draw, quite frankly it was a cop out by Derek O'Mahoney who's already under the microscope for his performance in the club All-Ireland final.

Surprised at how much of a panic stations it was for Kerry at the end of game, they were literally hanging on and the delight at the full time whistle told its own tale.

I doubt you are alone and as i said directly after the match on here i thought it was penalty. The reaction of the Kerry players at the end tells me they know they got away with one.

Jack O'Connor clearly had his troops fired up and with a win at all cost attitude. No problem with that or be a bit surprising for a league game in March however his players stepped over the line on a few occasions late on with some over the top challenges that could easily have caused serious injuries to our players.

A few out of order fouls alright.
They knew they had a weak enough Ref who seems to be in awe of the big teams- remember the 3 penalties he gave Dublin against us in 21, at least 2 were howlers.

Hard to forget and In 2016 against Dublin in the 1st half when he somehow deemed Cathal Cregg,Sean McDermott yellow card challenges at most to be black card offences.

Not sure if it's a help or a hindrance for us Sunday with Paddy Carr stepping down as Donegal manager. Then you have Aidan O'Rourke taking over with a bit of history with us.

We need to focus on our own job and look to finish the league campaign off with a win

I never thought the game against Donegal should be taken for granted and even more so now.
You just don't know how players can react. If we play like we did against Monaghan we could easily get beaten. Agree Roscommon should only concentrate on getting their own performance right.

Hard to know if it's a blessing or not for Donegal. It could pave the way for Jim McG to come back and maybe get them back on the right road. Their county board has now got it's second hard kick in the arse in quick succession. Huge pressure on them to make radical changes.

You'll win and you'll win handy

I'd expect a bit of a kick from the lads but I feel sorry for them togging out this weekend with all the noise

This is a prime example of a game where we are fav and think we should win and then the ultimate happens. We need the same performances that got us to this position and not take the foot off the gas!
