Just the one change in the starting 15 named for Sunday. Ciarain Murtagh comes in for Daire Cregg and Diarmuid moves to 11. May be more changes before throw in if last week is anything to go by.

Strange not seeing Donie named in the 26 - does anyone know if he picked up an injury during the week? Hadn't heard that he had.

Bottom line we bet ye last summer when it counted most.
Ye should win this Sunday as we are looking at bigger things later in the year."
And what's Laughable about that? what was really laughable was you on here trying to hype up Roscommon and talk Galway down before last years Connacht,

As for bigger things later it's clear for anyone paying attention knows that Joyce and his management are focusing on the now by starting the strongest available team as the bottom line is what happened the year before doesn't guarantee success the following year and Galway should know that better than most after having a good 2018 followed by poor 2019 which included the manager stepping down!

@Primrose_and_blue Donie Smith is unavailable due to work commitments, he'll be back for round 3.

Is it a wonder that Colin Walsh isn't getting a game in Defence. He was very impressive and imposing at fullback on the U20 team in 2021.

Yeah I'm surprised too but wouldn't be surprised to see him in there before too long, Burke knows him very well from Maynooth. Not sure if that team will start wouldn't be surprised to see Hughes in for Dolan and maybe Enda in for O Carroll as he played sigerson during week that went to extra time. Good to see McDermott named, if he bulls up a little could be the best of the lot coming through

McDermott has alot to improve on. Very headless a times but the talent is there. Hopefully if coached properly we will see the best of him.

I'd love to see Galway doing well but only Dublin are looking at bigger things this year. I'd temper your expectation.

I was shouting for Galway all the way last year after Roscommon were out so you could be a bit more respectful in your comments. We need a Connacht team to win the All Ireland. It's 22 years ago .Far too long and I think we'd all agree about that.

Travelling down later today. Weather is nice in Dublin but wet down west apparently so hopefully be dry tomorrow but likely they're will be wind and rain in Salthill.

I'd expect some changes to the starting team probably Enda coming in to bolster the midfield area or McDaid could overrun us in that area with his mobility. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lavin starting in goals either given Conor Carroll has done a lot of kicking out in last two weeks.

I'd say there will be a bigger crowd after the great result last week and hopefully we can be competitive again. I think we have to temper expectations as Tyrone could nearly killed us in ten minutes last Sunday after half time and let us off the hook with the gilt edged goal chance and it would have been a 9 pt swing.

Safe travel to all travelling.

McDaid will play wing half back or wing half forward. Conroy, Tierney will be the midfield pairing or maybe Cooke if he starts.

You don't look at swings in games, almost every game has a swing the main thing it was a deserved win for Roscommon however will have to perform as well again to gain a result Salthill.

Hard earned and deserved win that we would only have ourselves to blame had we not won.

Bench impact very important for the 2nd weekend in a row. Great to have two wins from two and still loads of room for improvement.

Deserved? Hardly ..
Ye scored 1 point in 30 odd minutes.
Galway were extremely poor in a game of terrible quality by two poor teams .
A draw was a fair result if the referee hadn't been so poor.

Ye're in a relegation battle now. Hope ye stay up because it's great to have 3 Connacht teams in Division 1.

True we are.. when you lose to minnows like that something must be wrong.
What acfall from an All Ireland final last summer to losing to Roscommon

Galway have lost to Roscommon plenty of times and in a lot bigger games than today. Best wishes to Damien Comer for a speedy recovery from his injury.

And a handy two points for Roscommon whenever they're in the same league division as Galway.

Btw, what's the story with Ultan Harney? Injured? Being rested?

Well deserved win for Roscommon, truth be told could have won by more only for all the wides. Galway toothless in attack in the last 25 mins… worrying

PS, Ben o'Caroll massive prospect. See ye in the championship.

Yes deserved. Had ten more shots on goal than Galway, margin would have been wider than 1 and wouldn't have taken until the injury time to win had we our shooting boots on today. Galway almost blessed to grab a draw from our wastefulness and got plenty of favours off a poor ref during the game.

Looks like Belclare watched the match by listening to it on Galway Bay FM. Well done to Roscommon on deserved win in what was a disappointing low quality contest.
