Replying To anotheralias:  "It's been there for a couple of years, but it's only recently that I've seen it posted on media . The idea is that if there is fallout before match day the replacements get pulled from the stand by group. I guess this means that there is zero chance of Damo playing any part."
I just hope we are not playing anyone who is half fit. That will kill us short term and long term.

Don't over estimate Armagh. Derry gave up in that game. Armagh are good but no world beaters.

I think we have enough quality throughout the team to put it up to Armagh.

Mind the injured lads and beat Armagh without them.

That will give them a really good chance of being fully fit for QF

looking forward to the game..
i dont think management would risk kelly or finnerty if they where not fit enough..
its a big big game and rightly so armagh are favourites but its a great challenge for the lads..
a win would put us in a great position so lets hope the lads can do the business but till be a tough game.

not sure about dropping o currain off the 26 but clearly he's not doing enough.
again we are starting with potentially 4 midfielders...mcdaid again at 15....these are all question marks but
our bench does look strong and to be fair the bench has ben excellent all through the championship..

lets hope there is a big galway support as all our other teams are knocked out now so no excuses...
lets get behind the lads and drive them on..
Gaillimh abu..

That scoreline would mean an unbelievable game but I can't see Galway going into all out attack mode considering they're missing key players, especially Comer for the out ball.
Keep it tight and cagey and wait for the scoring chances. Finnerty could be missing too for shots from an angle. I don't think him or Kelly will start. I'm disappointed OCurraoin isn't a sub.
Need McDaid to stay inside for winning ball. Otherwise nothing will stick without Comer.

Agreed. The O'Curroin thing is a puzzle but it's obviously based on training.

I would have a slight concern about lack of shooters and being overloaded with middle third type players.

Saying that, Armagh certainly won't dominate us physically and a lot of their game is based on that.

If we have the shooting boots on we will win because the team picked will win plenty of ball.

Anyone else get the €50 package deal at start of groups? Still haven't received my ticket for Sunday yet. Unusually drops into inbox on Thursday but nothing yet.

They have clearly shown they will with Kelly previously. I'd be surprised if one of Heaney or Hernon don't come in to start.

D'arcy best impact seems to be from bench and he's short a bit of pace tracking runners.

Good additional kick out options though

Bar comer galway have full team for Sunday , though he might have freshened up half back line the Hernon experiment of playing him in forwards didn't work out ,, looking at forward line Sunday I'd be thinking Galway getting around the 13 score mark in total need get half back and midfield chipping in with 4 points ,, I'm going with Armagh win by 4 hope I'm wrong ,,

Tbh, it's not that big a scoreline when you look at the scoring potential in the team.

I'm concerned that of the half-back line, imo, only Daly has the confidence to take on scoring opportunities that arise.

Gleeson: 0:1 Daly 0:1 Conroy 0:2 Kelly 1:0 Tierney 0:2 Maher/D'Arcy 0:1 Finnerty 0:4 Walsh 0:3 McDaid 0:1 Heaney 0:2 Sweeney 0:2 O'Flaherty 0:1

I see Tomas O'Se has tipped Armagh to win the opposite normally happens with his Galway match predictions. I reckon Galway to win by 1 point in a pure arm wresting contest.

Only worry from a galway perspective is our lack of shooters which was evident from the westmeath game. If Armagh get a good hold of Shane Walsh like in 2022 our lack of shooters could be a problem

Good team named for Sunday and im delighted everyone is making Armagh favourites.
This will suit Galway dowwn to the ground and i think we will do it,

We wont need Damo until the semifinals, Gleeson is our player of the Championship so Far.

I wouldn't worry about O Currain as he is a very young lad and has got plenty of experience this year.

Best of luck to the lads today. Massive game and, in my opinion, the result could define our season. It's a big ask without Damian. Yes we have a strong team selected but in reality there are 2 Galway teams, one with comer and one without, and the one without is a vastly inferior side.

Game going as expected no classic more of arm wrestling contest. Joyce and Co have to be delighted to be leading by two points at half time and the wind advantage to come.

Galway's record against Ulster sides is quite good. They have some very fine footballers.

Galway are looking good even without Comer, a team with massive potential.
