No it's no plain enough answer. The question is on Galways promotion credentials have given mine already and we'll see if I'm wrong or not. Bookies odds on Galway for promotion speaks for itself also

Inconsistent you say while mentioning matches against Tipp, Wexford and Antrim all a number of years ago with few starters in those game now starting."
What would an American know about Gaelic football - stick to the Superbowl!

Replying To Marooned:  "Sean Fitzgerald had minor surgery on his meniscus. Out for 4 to 6 weeks which is most of the rest of the league.

Heaney has a calf injury. Out for a couple of weeks.

Comer has a tight hamstring. Won't be back in time for the Down game but probably after."
Are you mr Reynolds?

Not mocking it at all - I'm just asking GAA Lover to stick to it when he say he is from the USA. The GAA would love all the Superbowl advertising money!

From reading your posts Tommeen lad, I'd say that I'd know a lot more about Gaelic games that you do, particularly hurling. Your depth of knowledge comes across as quite shallow. My fellow Americans, y'all just keep posting your fine views on Gaelic games on here, and don't let this gligeen of a poster deter you!

Good man foreveryoung it was you all along! The Limerick supporter in disguise as an American. You should also stick to the Superbowl!

NUIG through to the Sigerson semis. A late Tomo Culhane goal means they beat LYIT 2-8 to 1-8. Culhane with 1-3. Matt Tierney with 0-5. NUIG played most of the 2nd half with only 14 after a red card.

I've lived in the states for nearly two decades and I've met lads born and bred over here who'd hammer you off the pitch in both codes. Very small minded of you.

Not enough is being said about the blight that Homepage is to Galway Football. To think one man and his opinions hold sway over a a large number of football and hurling fans in this county is concerning.

Fair play to NUIG, going really well in Sigerson this year. They were down to 13 men at one stage. Great to hear Culhane and Tierney are going well, Kellys, C Sweeney , Murray, Monaghan's and other Galway lads involved. Sorry to hear about Mayo forward Tommy Conroy's injury for NUIG, hope it's not serious.

What age is Eoghan Kelly brother of Sean & Paul?

I can't recall him playing underage for Galway but he has starting for NUIG in the sigerson games which is a higher standard of football.

Definitely older than Paul. Either older than Seán then or near the same age. I think he was on a basketball scholarship in the states at some point. Not sure if that's accurate if it's not I'm open to correction. He was very good last night as were seán and Paul in the middle. C Sweeney and Colin Murray also had very good games last night which was encouraging.

He must be impressing Maurice Sheriden to start at 6 in that team given the calibre of some of the lads on the bench.

Lets hope he's of similar ilk to the two brothers, I'm sure Joyce will be keeping an eye on him.

Yeah I mean Tony Gill a current Galway senior panellist and the Monaghan brothers from Oughterard are on the bench for NUIG. Very handy players all 3. Have never seen him play. I believe he was in the US on a basketball scholarship alright for a while.

Eoghan is 23/24, born in 1998. He was never much of a footballer underage, but had massive interest in the basketball. Pretty sure he went straight to the US after finishing his LC in St Marys. He brings a lot of basketball skills to his game and his link up play with his brothers, and the likes of Owen Gallagher has been very impressive for Moycullen. He is fast and good on the ball. A good ball carrier like his brothers. I dont think he is a guy that will be called into the Galway team, but with a lot of lads walking away from the panel or else declining the offer to come back in, anything is possible :)

The game on Saturday is on the BBC Sport NI Website (and i presume the BBC Sport App. Did anyone watch the Derry/Down game last week on the same service and do you know if there is any geography restrictions on broadcast or is it straight forward to stream?
