Replying To tommy k:  "Everyone seems to be forgetting about Shane Cooney who is a very solid centre-back. I know he hasn't played too much due to injury in the last year or so but surely he has recovered at this stage unless there was a setback or does anyone here know what the status is re that injury?"
It's no harm to have him on the bench if he's ready. Great weapon to have rested and ready.

Lads we are 1/5 to win at the weekend and the handicap is six points. If we can't be winning comfortably at home against a team like Wexford then we are going absolutely nowhere this year. I expect the lads to come out firing on Saturday.

I thought everyone knew that any Galway hurler becomes a better player with every game he doesn't play

I think PB's tongue was firmly lodged in his cheek there tbf

Galway 1/5, Wexford 4/1 last time I checked it, 11/1 for the draw.

Galway -6 is evens which seems absurdly short to me. Of course in PS a lot will depend on the weather conditions and whoever wins the toss and what they elect to do.

Kilkenny might have been thinking the same before they played them last year and losing to Wexford didn't trip them up too badly

Therefore if ye didn't play "at all for 50 minutes" and "still got a draw" Wexford have to be hot favourites this weekend!

Our players switched on and yours got tired/switched off. Regardless of that free ye were lucky the game ended when it did.

If your lads hadn't done the business against Dublin Kilkenny would've been out of the championship altogether SP. So your lads kept Kilkenny in it, it wasn't their own doings.

In fairness, KK were unlucky not to 'get a result' in Handshakeville last year, with the 'man ball and all' carry on for a finish. Galway were disappointing at the Leinster Final too, and from Owen's perspective at least, couldn't keep TJ's freecount to a manageable level. KK also dispatched Clare from last year's championship in a manner that the likes of Wexford, Dublin and Galway could only dream about.

Anyway, let the games begin!! No point wearing ourselves out, talking wuda cuda shuda about the 13 seasons that were 2010-2022, this week of all weeks. If Wexford were 'unlucky' to hear the final whistle a year ago, as you claim they were, they'll surely be rearing mad for the throw-in on Saturday evening next.

Haha I knew that would get a reaction!!!! I'm going up to PS to see the game. I've been to every game this year including a couple of challenge games. We have been brutal in most of them. The bookies are never far wrong.
At the same time I've seen Wexford teams pull a performance out of absolutely nowhere before, so while I'm expecting a fairly heavy beating, it wouldn't surprise me at all if we won. Our record in PS is, surprisingly I might add, actually not that bad.

It's not the throw-in that I'll be worried about on the drive up: )

Aye, but when they were thrown the rope they weren't slow to grab hold of it either

Limerick will be laughing at that team. Will beat wexford but that isnt enough.
Gearoid Mc one of our greats from the past 30 years but his time must be up now. Daithi cant be anywhere except full back. and surely conor cooney another galway hurling great is past it too. Niland good lad to have in reserve but not he doesnt offer enough physicality to start.
If have mcmanus starting, id put cianan fahy in also. darren morrisey also.

Good man for making the long journey West, your expecting a heavy beating but it wouldn't surprise you if Wexford win? It can't be both...only one or the other!
Yes Wexford can raise their game for the big guns but I'm expecting a big performance from Galway.....normally when things are quiet and no talk of Galway around the place means they are going to hammer some one!
Wonder will the Wexford bus stop in Vinegar Hill Saturday morning on their way?

I'd say they will travel Friday night.
