Any plans to respond to the consensus that this was a terrible decision? Ye might as well shut the whole thing down or hand it over to someone else if ye are not going to put the effort into it.

No upcoming fixtures or recent results, despite dozens of county finals in October and November. A charade.

Well said. The silence is deafening.

Updated fixtures can be found here. Whatever about the decision to close the county forums, I think you and others are being harsh on hogan stand. They've obviously been hit hard by Covid 19 and had to cut back as a result but they are still continuing to publish content on a daily basis compared to the joke of a GAA website that often goes days without being updated. Cut hogan some slack ffs.

Couldn't they come out and at least explain why they've done what they've done? Don't people deserve that much?

Thanks for the link. However the results page has been an archive of results (including a raft of club results) going back years, and now it hasn't been updated. It's a disgrace.

Regarding being hit by Covid 19, if they lost the manpower to audit the other county forums, what would have been wrong with making an archive of them available?

Exactly, all they had to do was leave the county forums where they were (as an archive) and not allow people to post, we had threads and posts going back to 09 like every other county and now it's all gone.

Still laughable Cavan and Meath have their own forums to this day.

Not really. Hoganstand is based there.

It's located in Kells in Meath….a different county and Provence. It's where they collected stones to throw at Cavan supporter buses in 97 after AI semi final.

Now, I can't complain too much about the demise of the Kilkenny forum, it had tumbleweed rolling through it, such was the amount of activity on it. But that aside, if the reason for Meath having its own forum is due to Hoganstand being based there, what was the reason the Cavan forum remaining when all the other counties were 'retired'?

Maybe some of the owners or employees live in Cavan?

Not a clue TBH.

Perhaps the Admin lives across the divide in Mullagh in Cavan?

I personally prefer the way it was to engage with contributors from counties that were in the same division.

Perhaps the admin could tell us if it was Covid related and they didn't want IT virus contaminations across the 5 mile boundary over the internet ??

Tomsmith (Cavan) is the real Admin, but he is staying tight liped and giving nothing away.

Think we lost a lot of good posters over it to be honest.

Wexford forum was always very busy

It's a shame he can't stay tight-lipped about everything else.
