Especially in the tunnel at halftime.

I'm predicting a Monaghan win this weekend and I think they are slight favourites.
Having said that I think Tyrone would be better equipped to represent Ulster in the semi final against Kerry if that makes sense.
I think Kerry would fear Tyrone more than Monaghan.
Whoever wins I'll be supporting them either way in the semi final.
Best of luck to both teams.
Hope it's a good tight entertaining encounter above all else.

Replying To monaghanmad:  "The great thing about Sunday is we know tlwhat to expect. Mc kenna and mc shane off bench etc. Donegeal weren't ready for it. When Tyrone make subs we will know exactly what to do."
Knowing what is going to happen and having the depth to deal with it are two different things. I thought Monaghan struggled in the final quarter against Armagh, especially as Armagh brought subs on that made an impact.

I think Tyrone's bench will be even stronger and Tyrone won't give Monaghan the lead Armagh did. In the final quarter Armagh paniced a little when they got the lead which allowed Monaghan's experience to get them over the line by the end, but Tyrone will be ruthless. I don't see Tyrone showing any panic in the last twenty or so minutes and it's where I see Tyrone's larger depth in quality winning it.

A great game for 55 or so minutes but thereafter I can see Tyrone pulling away and winning it by four or five points. Good luck to both teams and it would be good to see Monaghan winning it but Tyrone will have too much depth.

Monaghan are not playing Armagh on Saturday, and Tyrone are not playing Donegal.
The difference between Armagh and Donegal is that Donegal are a busted flush, underachieving for the amount of talent they have available to them with obvious disquiet within the group. Armagh on the other hand are a coming team and in the last 15 against Monaghan threw the shackles off and went full blooded for the win, unlike Meath for example that allowed Dublin keep possession to see out their game, Armagh during that last period would have troubled anyone the way they played including Tyrone. Monaghan still won
I would have two concerns going into the game; that we conceded too many easy scores from in front of goal against Armagh, this can only be rectified by the use of a sweeper, as we do not have a natural full back or centre half. For all the talk of defensive football, needs must on this occasion or we will lose. The other concern is Gough, who, together with his obvious bias against us, is far too trigger happy to be refereeing an Ulster Final. If he gets this wrong early on he could ruin it
Tyrone have a new management set up and are finding their way somewhat, they don't seem to know their best team, nor a definitive way of playing, if the go for a shootout we could easily beat them, so they will go defensive, which has proven not to be the path to success in Croke Park. Monaghan won't fear them either way, what's it to be lads
It's a 50/50 match and history will count for nothing with all that has gone on in recent times. This one could be decided on the sideline, but if we get our defensive gameplan right (every serious team has one) I'm hoping for a 2-3 point win

I would be worried for Monaghan tomorrow. We should have put them away even with giving them a 10 point lead and Tyrone are at a different level to ourselves. Tyrone seem to be peaking at the right time and I think the wide open spaces of Croker will suit them.
Good luck both teans and here's to another Ulster cracker!

I think Tyrone are more likely to prevail by a few points. Defensively they looked better sorted the last day than in their league matches and while Monaghan have potential match winners a bad day out for McManus or McCarron will see Monaghan struggling for a match winning total. Tyrone just seem to have a better overall spread of scorers including a few of the subs and this makes them the more reliable to run up a winning total in Croke Park. Not sure which of the two would cause Kerry greater problems but, whichever, they'll be facing a Kingdom side rampant so far but who also find themselves a bit untested. Cork allowed David Moran to look like an Olympic athlete the last day and he either has become one at the age of 33 or he simply had an easy ride. Time will tell, but I'm thinking Tyrone will be the ones to uncover the reality in a couple of weeks time.

I feel Tyrone will win tomorrow and heading then to play Kerry on the back of a league humiliation is very much the ideal backdrop for playing them in championship then. Dooher and Logan may yet have a charmed opening season.
If it comes down to a battle of who scores the most points then I expect Tyrone to win. I don't think they'll concede more than two goals and that may not be enough for Monaghan.

Would love to see a Monaghan win but I just don't see it unfortunately.

Looking forward to this. It's a final so neither team will be looking beyond it, but be interesting to see if either (and i fancy Tyrone) will show that they have the means to give Kerry a game.

It's not going to be an easy game, and Tyrone probably deserve to be slight favorites, but I will say that there is a serious amount of lazy analysis going around this week.

All the angles on Tyrone seem to be positive, while the analysis on us is predominantly on our flaws. You'd swear it was Division 1 vs Division 3 from listening to some. People who talk about us not having a good spread of scorers clearly haven't watched us much this year. It's the first time in ages I can remember us actually playing 6 scoring forwards, and the rest of the team contribute well also. On the other hand everyone is bemoaning our open defence, but to be honest that's been a feature of all Ulster counties this year. Seems to be alot with selective amnesia who forget the times Tyrone have been cut open at the back this year.

Having said all that it's still a tough game, but not one we should be fearful of at all. I don't think either will trouble Kerry so this is the big one this year for both sides.

Ye wouldn't know, winner could give Kerry all they want. Your right though about running at Tyrones backs Monaghan also showed guts with their relegation playoff. 2 Division 1 teams so can't be much in it. Still fancy Tyrone.

Fair point I guess, but people tend to call these things how they see it. Monaghan could come out and prove everyone wrong or the analysis this week could play out as predicted. I might be wrong but my view is the analysis is likely spot on and I'd be surprised if Tyrone don't win it comfortably enough in the end.

Tyrones bench doesn't look as strong today which means they will need to be in front by at least a few points heading into last 15-20 mins. No Meyler who is a running machine and no Darren. Mckenna starting which is strange as the first few games he has started he didn't really do much, think he should have been held for last 20 mins when he will be itching to get on and with a potential tired defence to run at. Very tight game ahead

Nothing against Tyrone but for the neutrals I imagine most would be shouting for Monaghan who have not had many big days at Croker.

Tyrone well in control on the scoreboard but if Monaghan had taken their chances it'd be tight. A few very bad wides, including from the main man. Beggan also struggling with his kickouts. If they can improve those 2 areas they're still in it.
