Possibly looking like lk worse nightmare Semi Final Clare v lk and Galway v KK!"
At least you're consistent.

You write off Dublin even when they're playing teams other than Galway..

You also seem to have excised several times when Waterford refused to play the part assigned to them.

Dublin/Tipp final for me :-)

You must be a Dub with Tipp relations, because there isn't a hope of a Tipp/Dublin Final! I knew Galway were rotten bad v Dublin but I actually thought Dublin played some nice hurling which surprised me and the Galway team!!
But after watching Dublin v KK I said that Dublin team are going nowhere...they are more like a hockey team than a hurling team! Clare, Cork, Waterford would absolutely hammer them, whoever gets Dublin in the Quarter Final are 100% guaranteed a Semi Final. No hard feelings this is only my opinion.

Ha yeah that was the biggest disgrace with Kildare GAA. Shameful stuff. The Hurling Club who facilitated this charade should be embarrassed.

You shown plenty of times the innate ability of being both a sore winner and sore loser, any taughts of the Gillane and Flanagan incidents or just go on another random tangent for deflection purposes?"
Both harmless challenges. Gillane could have got red. Flanagans was a yellow. Like I said I like my hurling hard...borderline. So I like the edge Limerick live on. I'm comfortable with it. Fantastic team.

You worry about Waterford.

That was a most enjoyable day back in Thurles in 2011.

A 12/1 double if i recall rightly. Your boys were like headless chickens panicking in front of Walsh and Mullane :-)

That's not contradicting me! I'm saying if Galway and Cork both reach the semi finals Galway would play Limerick.

Yes agreed Limerick are a fantastic team at the moment but this post proves your either a piss taker or delusional or both.

Bloodydan I agree that Limerick are a fantastic team and I love watching them. I take issues with you about harmless challenges. Especially when we had a player miss a semi-final for accidental knocking a helmet off (not talking about Austin) and a player miss the final for a swipe back far less egregious than Gillane's. He missed the final and the player from the other side dismissed missed the first league game the next year. How fair was that ? Did you say they were harmless challengers at that time ? I hate seeing any player sent off but there has to be protection for players. I watched it over and Flanagan's was the worst. We had a poster saying Austin Gleeson earned a reputation so he gets blown up for hard challenges as you call them. If that was the case Flanagan is a marked man which I don't agree with.
All cards should be quickly reviewed on the field. The referee consulted the lines man and that should be the end of it. No witch hint now. These players are amateurs and keeping them out of the next game should be avoiding and applying penalty for the next game. Appeals are dicey to say the least. If missed or wrongly called in the game it has effected the result of that game in progress.
Incidentally Limerick don't need to live on the edge as they are good enough without it. A breath of fresh air for hurling.

Canuck a lot of what you said is very true..I was giving Flanagan the benefit of the doubt but when I looked back again it was a dangerous and very careless challange which could very easily have been red..think everyone agrees gillane should have gone,no matter how people saw it,he struck with the Hurley that's a red...I said in another post the antics of Barrett were awful,he rolled around ground roaring..if I'm right he got up and competed for throw in..he also managed to finish the game ..in 2019 the same man under a Richie Hogan challange went down as if shot by a sniper, again he managed to finish the game..I have mentioned previously that players roaring and rolling around the ground is now a feature in all games and it needs to be wiped out..

Yes Barrett is not my favourite and I loathe players who try to get opponents sent off. Maybe the ref saw that and said okay you are over reacting. Kudos if so. Look if a player is genuinely injured and needs attention he should get it and the required card applied if a foul. If someone is doing simulation, off the field and back on in four minutes. That will stop it.

Waterford are due a big game performance, they haven't been doing well this championship but have fantastic hurlers, could they take down Galway?I believe they could.
Cork and Clare will be very tight,Clare need Tony Kelly at his best, will he be man marked by Cork?

Fancy Galway and Clare to come through. Both are 50/50 games though it wouldnt shock me if Cork and Waterford won either.

Ya you're right, Wexford are better off picking strawberries for the time being. Their leinster win was a great achievement hievement but they haven't done anything since.
Hurling needs the likes of ourselves. Clare, Waterford and Wexford to keep the 'big' 3 honest.
As regards the 2 big incidents, ya both red cards. Saying that, what a team to come back..

Another problem is, as soon as a player hits the deck you have 25k also roaring for a free. This needs to be eradicated too - a player falling in the ground is not a free and supporters need to accept that players are diving from every county. I absolutely hate it as a player and a supporter and it will ruin our game.
We need the commentators to call it out more.

Agreed, I'd also like to see the linesman and umpires play are role in this too.
Black card for diving or feigning injury.

Umpires? What training and qualifications have they got?
In fact, can someone tell me how umpires are chosen for big matches?

Very torn on the quakifiers. No question Clare are the form team of the 4 but ridiculous they didn't get a bye when the last day when they won their first cship match. Granted cork were straight into semi but I feel cork and Galway should have played.
Anyway! I think cork may shade it purely on the basis of what that win and heat would have taken out of Clare. The world is against them is the mantra they'd have been using and I feel that emotional stuff can eventually sap the life out of you. Logic says Clare but I think the fresh legs of cork will have to much for them.

The other game I've changed my mind 10 times already. Galway have made really strange positional decisions this year and I said Dublin could beat them if burke is at 6. He hasn't the positional sense or hurling to play there and he's too good at full back. He's lost at 6. There's nothing wrong with putting mannion back there and getting Harte back into the team. I'm sure if they'll change that as it's madness. For some reason I think there's a huge kick in Waterford yet but they have made their own strange positional switches. I'm back and forth on this but maybe Galway after extra time but as a Tipp man they're the last team I want to see coming through - again!
