kerry without a doubt, if they dont beat this dublin side tomorrow they may have problems. should of fixed it for further down the fixture list, at least both would be fairly moving a that stage, bit of a nothing game considering whos playing lilypad (Kildare) - Posts: 1363 - 24/01/2020 21:51:37 2262018 Link 1 |
Have the dubs named there team? Can't see it anywhere. Colm O'Rourke is fairly adamant that the dubs will beat us tomorrow and that dublin will win the allireland as well. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 24/01/2020 22:01:53 2262021 Link 1 |

Virtually a championship starting 15 named by Kerry. I can't see the champs winning this. Kerry by a few points I would say, hard to see any other result. Dessie will be looking to find his feet and possibly blood some new talent. Joxer (Dublin) - Posts: 4698 - 24/01/2020 22:34:44 2262034 Link 6 |
When will the team be named joxer

Still nothing yet Gerry. I'd expect mid morning to Lunchtime.

Side named now as... Comerford Philly. Byrne. Lowndes McCarthy. Small. Murchan Fenton. Howard Scully. Mannion. Kilkenny Kev Mc. Andrews. Rock Strong enough starting XV. Joxer (Dublin) - Posts: 4698 - 25/01/2020 12:19:12 2262108 Link 3 |
Strongest team available most likely. I can see Kerry struggle around the middle a bit with Fenton and Howard in there vs Spillane and whoever partners him. Heading off shortly. Really looking forward to it now I thought we'd be looking at two patched up teams but it's two championship level teams minus a couple on side. Farrell must be determined to get off to a good start. Yerra it's only the League, on paper their both strong but I'd have my doubts about how much fitness either side have. TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 25/01/2020 12:54:27 2262120 Link 1 |
Should be a great contest. Two strong teams for a supposedly meaningless competition. Safe travelling.

According to J McGahan Kerry have only trained three times since returning from holidays, presumably Dublin are the same so yeah, I'm not expecting championship pace. Great stuff from both camps to name strong teams for a January game though.

Both teams have fairly strong teams named, Clifford being appointed as captain is very intriguing as it is a well-known fact that he is a fantastic talent but does he have what it takes to captain a team within inter-county at such a young age (time will only tell) Dessie Farrell could seriously change Dublin in a tactical aspect; is he going to stick with Jim Galvins style of play in certain aspects? Is he going to put his own spin to things completely? It will be interesting to see where they are standing in the table after four rounds. oakleafersir (Derry) - Posts: 808 - 25/01/2020 13:11:04 2262131 Link 0 |
Very strong teams from both sides.. with the sides named it should really come down to whoever is the better team, the majority of players named to start on both teams had big parts to play over the 2 AI finals last year... Kerry by 5 for me, I think they will be the team to beat this year but with the Dubs mentality I wouldn't be at all surprised by a Dublin win boman11 (Antrim) - Posts: 237 - 25/01/2020 13:22:07 2262135 Link 0 |

Look at about 50 % there, and fairly makeshift, but still some amount of medals in that team, would have liked to see more of the emerging players to be honest, the bench will be interesting, looking forward to seeing the Super Brian's in midfield together, that's an interesting opening gambit by Desmond.

Emmett O'Conghaile on the bench. Good opportunity to give him some game time too. Bench is light enough in general though, O'Byrne Cup looking.

Surprised that Dessi isn't introducing any new talent. Looks like he is going to be very conservitive neverright (Roscommon) - Posts: 1648 - 25/01/2020 14:45:22 2262163 Link 0 |
