Replying To patk: "The topic is the team of the decade, the best XV of players over that period, and I may be biased but McManus is absolutely in that category.
It's not the XV of most successful players of the decade - if it was then it would be a very quick answer. If you're going to go down the route of ruling McManus out because he never played in a final, then you might as well just narrow it down to players who actually won an All Ireland. Which would rule out the Mayo players too, which would make no sense as the likes of Keegan belong in that team all day long."
McManus and Brogan have to be the 2 best forwards of the decade... absolutely no way McManus doesn't make that cut. No way

Spot on. McManus is arguably the best inside forward of his generation, nevermind this decade. But of course Bernard would be there or thereabouts too. No question McManus should be there though.
10. Paul Flynn 11. Sean Cavanagh 12. Connolly 13. Bernard Brogan 14. Murphy 15. McManus
I know Sean Cananagh was at his best during the noughties but still feel he was a great player this decade.
Andy Moran probably the player I found it hardest to leave out. You could pick any of the Dub fowards - Mannion, Rock, Kilkenny and Alan Brogan all fantastic players. Shane Walsh is a great player and hopefully this coming decade we see him proving this.
